Seeking guidance re installing a regulator in an Air Arms MPR (not FT)

Hi All,
I have an Air Arms MPR. This is NOT the FT model, so the air tube unscrews for filling like a 10m rifle. I have done a good deal of work on ARs, both springer and PCP. However, I have never installed a regulator. So, with your indulgence, I have a few basic questions.
1) With this type of AR, is the regulator installed in the removable air reservoir ahead of the valve?
2) Will the gain in efficiency make up for the loss of volume?
3) What regulator do you recommend?
Thanks all!

RFT. I recommend Robert Lanes regulator highly. Contact him. He can help you out. You just need to let him know what power level you want on your gun.
I have one on my MPR FT and love it. I get just over 100 shots at 12fpe.
