Vortex Diamondback 4-16X 42mm

Hi All

Any experience with this Vortex?  For use on pcp paper punching.  Mag range useful, side focus, moderate weight, and not super pricey.   Any feedback would be appreciated, along with comparables (Burris?)

 Some people would say burris glass is better. But I have used all the Vortex line of scopes and there great. For me there one draw back is there reticles. They horrible..
 
 When  I worked for my dealer I use to be able to get 50% off. For that price there are very good

Not sure what distances you will be shooting?
 I believe the 4-16x44 has a minimum parallax adjustment of 30 yards which isn't low enough for (my own) normal use. I do not have any personal experience with this particular model.

I do have a Diamondback 3-12x40 AO with the Dead-Hold BDC reticle and I really like it. The. 3-12x40AO parallax adjusts down to a minimum of 10yards to infinity so works well for most typical airgun shooting distances.

I liked it well enough that I just picked up a second Diamondback 3-12x40AO, but this one has the standard V-plex reticle... it was on sale through Midway for $209 (normally $289) so I couldn't pass up the deal 
Haven't actually mounted that one on anything yet though...

Thanks Dave for pointing that out.  I'd like to have 20yd-infinity, but as you noted this one starts at 30.

I'm in the market for another scope myself...

I think I'm going to try a Optisan Mamba Lite 4-16x44SF with the SCB reticle on this next rifle.
