I think next step will be my abilities and will increase power before going to 100yd, though no harm in checking the abilities as she stands.

That reminds of something I've often wondered about guys.
What would you guys think about a 500cc double tubed or bottled Hatsan?

Yep, the Koreans had that one right when They started the double tube thing in their guns,....But the Hatsans are super heavy as it is, a Double tube would make them monsters

I like the idea of a bottled larger reservoir, but yep, these are huge. I think a non QE version should also be offered, though you can simply remove the shroud, to make shorter and carry in the field. It just does not look as refined. I specifically bought the 909s versus double, because of how it looked. Now, seeing both, the double is a sharp looking gun. If they would do valve work and bottle like a RAW (Im interested in a .357) could be a winner.

Would it be easier to create a bullpup with existing platform andhow would that be perceived? I suspect getting into big bore world was a first step decision and manufacturing from an existing platform was less expensive and more rapid. Imagine if they could price point a .30-.357 bullpup at $600-700, could be a competitor.

its less then 1lb difference. 8.5lb & 9.3lb I take that back with another tube it would be a lot more, but its the stocks that make them heavy. My bt65 elite stock weighs 4lbs

...the gun itself is only 5lbs

Here you go Baxter, 75yd 5 shot groups!

Ive mostly been working on inside 50yd, as my shooting has been suffering some, time wise and overall skill. This includes switching back and forth from other rifles, but I struggle sometimes for comfortable position as I prefer right handed position but left eye dominant. So I have been working on finding some consistency after attempting some new head positions as I dont really want to high of a mount. Honestly didnt think I would be able to get anything going well at that distance.

Last couple of weeks been getting back to the .30 and finding my groove I had before, with new head position. Got so good at 50yd, paper punching was getting very consistent and boring

Working from home today, wife took kids out to give me some space............... a bit windy now and again, but 75degF and only about 75% relative humidity. I ran down my air and have not had a chance to fill, so I pumped inside in a dehumidified room where I keep guns. I dont mind pumping, adds to some exercise, but I refill (pump) after each 5 shots so I dont elevate heart rate and can keep my steady hold.

Still no tuning, other than hammer spring adjustment as before, shooting 5 shot groups now average 904fps es2fps to keep consistency. Still shooting the JSB 44.75, now over 1000 through the barrel, lost count. Smoothed magazine as recommended by Maraudinglizard, TKerrigan, etc and that seem to help. Did some plinking first, PB target, and some figurines. At 75yd, square on shots would make a complete pass though on these 4in dollar store hard plastic figurines that were free standing, eg not backed by anything. Interesting penetration I thought. First group pic was dead calm. Second, wind picked up (I need a flag down there- one side is a tree line, open on other side except 15yd or so into target area, so weird wind effects sometimes) but I remain on the same POA, so a slight shift from left to right, but the vertical remained. Third group/pic started well, but gust of wind blew target backwards- first three were almost hole in hole, second were. The last group/pic was just after my text me she was on her way home! That really ruined that one-lol (I was supposed to be working).

I think its a combination of both the rifle coming into its own and my improvement in shooting that has made this a solid contender in accuracy and consistency (human error).

Wow great shooting! I think that the 3rd group was not the wind , but you might in fact lined it up on the wrong Mil dot as I so often do

I shot a sub inch group yesterday @ 100yards with the BT65 and my third shot I held for 4mil instead of 3mil. Great shooting as you increase the speed the shoots will become much flatter and accuracy will increase.

Thanks! On the third group, the target holder actually changed about 30+ deg off vertical :-) i debated getting up to straighten but I was just so settled in and it felt right! Oh well, but consistency is getting there. This is also with a CP 4-16 which is really only clear to about 10x. Next time out, will adjust trigger pull, still pretty hard, then basic mod to bring up to mid 900s.

Give 960fps a try. Doesn't really matter the jsb you shoot, 44gr and 50gr both shoot nice in this gun.

Wish I had more chances to shoot but so far my best at 100 yards is an inch and a half 5 shot group. I know my gun can do better. ( I mean my gun can do better than me)

Ja, I think I can get it there with the basic mods and 44.75gr. (probably closer to 940+). That may be as far as I take it, as she has already created a niche where she is, for me anyway. Although, if I can get it up there while retaining accuracy, could be interesting. To date, this is the heaviest pellet Ive slung and I continue to be amazed by modern airguns.

I really didn't shoot my gun stock, I did the mods and started shooting around 980-990, it seemed to shoot good that way but I went and turned it down around 960, my gun loves it.

I think this gun would shoot great at any speed. 800-960fps.

When I 1st got gun I shot twice, and didn't miss.

I also intended to make changes almost immediately, then time got in the way :-) Then I decided to see what I get from a stock set up. My primary goal for is to be a pellet shooter, which is seems to do quite well, and Im the limitation. I did get some 42gr HP that fit well and have the same velocity, just need to do some work on the mag to seat better before I know their accuracy. For the 57gr, Ill have to turn it up and would love to see some of you with full tunes test the BBT 71gr, if I remember.

Finally got some time to get back out, wanting to bring it out to 100yd. It was too much glare as I was shooting into the sunrise, so had to move to 87 yd, which was fine as there was a bit of wind. Thanks to Maraudinglizard (!!!) was able to change my scope to get the most out of it and see much better, though still on 12x only. Some practice with holdover, but then with limited visibility on my part, sun and scope, decided to zero at that distance. Still shooting stock, just cleaned and spring adjusted to shoot 180-155bar for average around 904 for seven shots (JSB 44.75gr). These are 5 shot groups, with a front sandbag (literally) rest. Was going pretty well, just seem to get itchy and pull the last one most every time, trying not to ruin a good group. First time shooting at (and is furthest) this distance with an airgun. I continue to be impressed with airguns in general, and I think BWalton has shown (seen both vids, awesome!) how this rifle can perform when in the hands of a much more experienced shooter/airgunner than I.
