Step one=measure stuff...step two=cut wood....step three=nail said cut wood in proper measured spots..step four=nail wood in measured spots...final step=enjoy beer n new spring compressor😃...
Did this in like half hour. Cost is nothing I you have wood and caliper compressor(harbour freight, 10$) and some scrap wood. Enjoy, back to beer...

That will work but it is a accident waiting to happen, for sure needs some kind of strap to hold the gun in place, The clamp needs to be secured also. Some of these ags have very strong springs and will send you to the hospital. David

I already disassembled the gun once(I don't advise). Wasn't bad getting spring out, putting it back inn was quite a chore without a compressor. I do plan using a ratchet strap to hold receiver to bench. There is alot of preload on that spring. Was huffin n puffin reassembling without the tensioner.
