Crosman .357 remote tank solution!

I have always loved my Crosman .357, but hated the low shot count of powerlets and the fact they just pile up in a landfill, so I decided to bulk fill it. I found a paintball marker company called Tiberius Arms produces an adapter that is just the right length for the Crosman .357. I ordered one and when it came in I measured the threads on it. They are 3/8-16, so I went to home depot and bought a drill bit and tap set in the required pitch and diameter. I removed the little screw-in plunger that pushes up on co2 powerlets and then drilled and tapped for the adapter's thread size. The part screwed right in and made a good seal. It already has a quick connect, and I already had a remote line and a 24 oz tank.
The gun shoots harder. I have not chronographed it yet, but I had to adjust the sights downward, as it was hitting higher than it did with powerlets. Also, there is no change in power as shots continue, so accuracy stays right on the money. I shot 500 pellets in about an hour, and my co2 tank was 2.6 oz lighter, meaning I should be able to get about 4500 shots per 24 oz. tank, and never have to buy another powerlet again. I have about $20 in this mod including the drill bit and tap, and now I can drill and tap all my action pistols for this part to fit.
This should help a lot to keep my proficiency up for defensive pistol shooting events and steel challenges. Let me know if you have any questions about the mod.
Thanks,
Derek

Hey cool idea.
Was the adapter you used something like this?
I assume the drill and tap you bought to use were the ones to match those threads on the adapter?
And when its screwed into the gun it seals against the factory seal?
Thanks

Exactly correct Ray. I have been looking for a solution like this for quite a while, but don't have a lathe to turn up parts like the one from Tiberius Arms. I found a great price on Amazon and bought the last one in stock for less than $10, but even at the price you found, it is well worth the money if you want a simple solution to bulking an action pistol. Now I am looking at buying a higher quality blow-back repeater with a true single action trigger to practice with. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore the .357 for the money, but I want something ergonomically similar to my Glock 17L.
Suggestions anyone?
