about to get a hatsan at44 in 177 single shot

Buying for my son, he loves my at44...in 22 cal
This one is like new, shoots very well and is the right size and weight for him.
Plan is to shoot rabbits out to 50 meters...I think it will do the job nicely

Congrats on the new shooter, & getting the little one into the port. It can definitely do the job. Make sure he gets lots of practice.

But if I might ask, why the single shot? Repeaters are handy for when a quick follow up is needed, we all strive for the one shot harvest but there are times it doesn't always work out that way. Not to mention a lot more fun

Single shot as Im getting it cheap and I know it will slow him down a tad.
I can see the day when he will want a 22 cal repeater soon but for now, I will start him on this.
Ive told him that if he decides he wants a repeater he can sell this one to help fund its purchase.
I know this one to be very accurate, the few shots that have been fired out of it were very consistent and I know he values accuracy very highly.

Congrats on the new gun and those are good reasons for buying it. Slowing down a new shooter helps a lot.

Congratulations.  They have been sold in North America as Hammerli Pneuma, but they are also widely available as Hatsan.

A single shot can make you concentrate on the shot more, knowing there is no quick follow up.
