OK than this review has come to a conclusion.

The Bulldog is a gun with good Ergonomic and balances well, coupled with the relatively short length at 36" and relative low weight for a Shrouded repeter big bore makes it a good gun to carry in the field.

The trigger is a decent hunting trigger, not light but breaks nice.

The side lever action is nice and smooth and the magazine works well, never had one problem.

The gauge in mine was on point, and I like where it's situated.

The gun has good power, 150 FPE with the 82gr ammo and 170 FPE with the Noslers.

This is basically a 5 shots gun.

The ping is pretty loud and annoying, the gun isn't backyard friendly.

Sling studs are mounted and they are solid, I tested them.

Accuracy is there once you find the right ammo ( remember this gun just came out and there was no real feed back, in the future more ammo will be tested with them )

All in all, the gun does what it was built to do and it does it well.

Now this part is completely Subjective, this are just my personal tastes and thoughts concerning my hunting needs.

I tried to like the look and I was waiting if the gun would grow on me, but she's still ugly

if I had this gun I would do all kinds of custom work in the looks department.

The plastic stock just looks and feels cheap, also it's very noisy to the touch and in my hunting conditions makes me cringe

The magazine when loaded with smaller rounds, not having a retaining spring when you tilt the gun up and down the ammo rattles inside, that happened to me a few times yesterday hunting and I just wanted to bury myself in the ground

I found the safety a bit to noisy to disengage in Hunting situations.

And that is it, can't think of anything else

Not in the market for one (Bullpups can be problematic in Canada).... but I enjoyed your review, Manny.... The conclusions are well presented, and to the point....

Thanks for the hard work and effort in giving this rifle a real world objective review. Not having to wipe off the sugar coating is refreshing to say the least. Good work and again thanks , a whole lot of folks now have something to think about going forward. I can't wait for the next review !!!

Well done Manny ... you did justice to the rifle being it is sold as a HUNTER and you being one have a very good eye for those important feature and shortfalls.

Nicely done with the added bonus of.............HONESTY? After reading your review, one should easily be able to make a decision. You definitely did NOT sell the gun like sooooooo many do. All airguns are NOT great out of the box and more reviewers need to admit that to the viewing public.

My take (Sterne makes a valid comment on Canada and over 500 fps bulpups) I think this one is over the legal length limit though.

Anyhow. Up front I had no intention of buying one of these. The Physical presence is just not me (utt bugly:))

However. I loved reading through the teething and test rigors you went through on this one. I like the first person experience perspective of a guy who justs wants a gun to work and be able to hunt with it.

This is a vastly more useful overview for me than some Hypemaster trying to convince me it's so powerfull it'll vaporize light slugs and stop an Inidan Elephant in it's tracks

Much more useful to me than someone I suspect is either A) Surreptitiously working for a manu or B) Driving traffic to a website.

I like the read and the opportunity you gave us all to learn about the gun.

Nice work Manny! The biggest things I wanted to find out were 1. Sound, 2. Accuracy (50+ yr groups) and 3. Shot count.
I think we all value your opinion and hope you get the chance to do more reviews. I am hoping that Crosman will take your thoughts in to consideration and make some adjustments, the sound knocks it out of the running for me. I want quiet, even if it cost more.

Go to youtube and check out TWANGANDBANG review of the Bulldog. They too say its a 170-180 FPE gun and not 200. Also, at his shots, THEY WERE SUPERLOUD!

Been watching every post you have made on the gun Manny,my hats off to you sir. I see the Bulldog has potential but in no way is perfect for hunting as of yet. You just may have helped develop a gun into what the people want,we will see. So many guns coming out in the near future,it tough to pick one that suits wants,needs and value for the price. I was able to shoot it at the expo and the Slayer is a sweet gun. Indoors, the sound moderating worked well. Can't comment on accuracy, but the fit and finish were excellent! I need to start saving now for the June production run...
