New FX bullpup... Wildcat

Dude i was looking at all the fx guns on aoa site today. Man they are burning a hole in my savings account!

Just saw over on the TAG and Yeller (though most of the new FX stuff gets deleted over there). that FX has a totally new BP they call the Wildcat. It looks a lot like a Cricket or Edgun with synthetic stock... Sure wish FX would get another dealer here in the States. I'd love to have one of these and probably a couple other models they offer...

Jim at Precision also sells FX and is a great guy to deal with.

I would buy from Jim and Nancy at Precision before buying anything from the big store in AZ. Even if it was a little more. Excellent customer service at Precision and they stand behind what they sell..

I don't know how true it is, but I herd on TAG, that Joe at http://www.airtanksforsale.com/ bought some. He got a special deal and is selling them for $300 to $500 off AOA price. If this is true anyone interested should email him fast, because they will go fast.

Just a thought, what if something breaks on the guns bought from Joe? I'm guessing you're not going to have any warranty as I'm sure AOA isn't going to fix any gun that didn't pass through their hands first. I've dealt with Joe who is a fantastic guy to do business with so if he could fix any issues then it shouldn't be a problem. But if you had to ship it back to Europe then that would be a deal breaker for me but that's me.

But having said that I already own 2 Kalibrgun Crickets, one in .22 and the other in .25 that I bought from Precision Airgun and Supplies. Both the Crickets are great shooters and haven't had any problems. I think the new FX Wildcat is directly aimed at the Cricket. The Wildcat even looks like a Cricket with a slightly different stock that has no magazine holders like the Crickets do.

I think I'll just be content with keeping the Crickets which are a proven design and easy to work on, or so I've read.

I think they should have used the Monsoon action. Just shorten the .22 barrel to 15-16" and put it in a bullpup stock. Nice compact and reliable full power semi-auto bullpup, something that Calibrgun couldn't achieve.

You get a very skewed picture of the issue from that site. Not least of which is somehow an attitude of  entitlement toward being able to tell a vendor how to run their business.
No one seems to realize there that Puerto Rico is considered US territory for business. They already have a US distributor so...
Now they're slagging on Steyr , who's next I wonder?

Before we start pointing fingers and thinking it only happens there let me assure you that it happens here as well. A friend of mine who at one time was a member here was banned for life for simply posting how they were treated by a vendor who has connections on this very forum. No one ever finds out about it because once your banned your voice is gone from the forum unless someone who still has access posts about it. Many like to think that we live in a free society where you can speak your mind on these forums but when money gets mixed into decision making about who gets to say what because it might upset those who provide financial support, you figure out who gets to stay and who gets banned after being labeled a trouble maker for just posting their own personal experience with a vendor. This is all I have to say on the matter for fear that I might get banned. If you don't here from me again you know what happened.

That is one heck of a markup. I just paid $1995.00 for a new Boss .30 synthetic and if the price sheet is correct, wholesale it sold for $870.89 at the current euro to dollar rate. This is what happens when someone gets to have a monopoly on an entire product line in the US. They get to sell them at any price they want with no competing wholesaler to keep the price in line.

I too hate the politics over on that forum, but was surprised to see these lists.  Though honestly you could just check other European sites to see the differences.


To the Op......it does look like a decent rifle, seems everyone is jumping on the bullpup bandwagon.  Looks very similar to the bobcat, just a different stock and a forward charging handle.

This is what I value most about the GTA.  Once you start taking money it's hard to stay objective as so many examples have displayed.
