anyone tried a shooting rest MTM or Caldwell

Just wondering how they would work with a springers. Anyone use one??

I use the "Caldwell Matrix" on my NP2. I only the handgun base. I remove the stock end and rest my hand on the fore end so, that I can still use a modified Artillery hold. I use a "Lead Sled" for my PCP. My NP2 will not shoot groups using this rest. The butt rest will not allow the gun to recoil and throws the groups off

I use a Caldwell front bag only with my springers.
I rest them directly on the bag with about an inch clearance from the trigger guard.....~ balance point.
Never had luck using a rear bag.
Also.....I fill with kitty litter, but NOT to capacity. I leave a little room so the rifle "settles" into the bag.

I have a Caldwell bag rest and use the front bag only, I to rest the gun about an inch from the trigger guard.  I filled mine with old tee shirts. Just cut the shirts into small pieces to suff in the fill hole.  I don't have to worry about spills, bugs, or being heavy to carry.

I have found that a front bag works better than an MTM or Caldwell front "stand".  Just my experience ... I like the Bulls Bag in the front, balanced like Joe said above .... and I like a small rear bag (made from sand and an empty Crown bag .... (I enjoy making the Crown bag empty  ),   My free hand is regulating the rear bag.

I had a Gamo that did shoot really well of an MTM rest.  Just FYI

Nope, in good shape on the "PIE"... at least for now..

I use the "Caldwell Matrix" as well.  It works as intended and the storage compartment is nice, just a little hard to get open.  I too only use the front portion with my springer's which seems to work well with no restrictions on the movement of the gun.  I might try their bags to see if there is a difference but I'd say the "Caldwell Matrix" is a decent purchase for the price.
