Nice shooting! Best ive done is 115 with my 470. A can is a small target ate 147.
Way to go cluny, that's some fine shooting. Next time take some pictures to share. I grew up in Phoenix and went out into the desert all the time, loved it. Now I live in the woods of Northern Alabama and love it even more. But it is hard around here to find somewhere to shoot 150 yards unless it is under plow or covered with asphalt.Anyway, I for one would like to see some pics of your rig and shooting location.
Shooting long range with airguns sure is a HOOT. Glad you are starting to like it. Its a challenge and its sure fun. The overall accuracy of airguns and projectiles and shooting techniques with airguns have come a long way..............Enjoy

A can is a small target ate 147.I remember seeing your 100+ yard shots on you-tube with a .177 springer. Impressive do you have the link?147 yards is very good shooting. A good rifle is needed for consistent long range shooting or it gets frustrating/stressful fast. Take a look at this 300 yard airgun video:
Cluny1973, i've shot out near yo plenty. Like you said, lotsa open space and jack rabbits
Ok I was going to begin a thread about this very thing. Nice shooting! I enjoy the long range (at least long range to me) stuff. Yesterday, I had a good day. I got my longest shot with my Hatsan AT44long in .25, It was 137. I got the can 2 out of 3 shots. Pretty good for me. Those were my longest shots so far with the Hatsan. It is an underrated gun.I got out the CondorSS in .25 next. My longest with this gun is 171 yards. I walked it out to 201 yards lasered from my truck. The first two shots missed, as I was obviously over estimating the holdover. The next shot was the right height, but just left. Fourth shot I hit it dead center. We re-set it and it took ten shots to hit it again. I hit the rock it was on once, and just skimmed it a couple of times. Hit it dead center on the last shot. I began with a 9+ mildot holdover, and 2+ dot to the left to account for the crosswind. By the tenth shot, I was at 10+ holdover to account for the lower velocity. I have to say, it was pretty cool. Below are some pictures of the area I shot at.
