Can't comment on the particular model you're considering, but I think BSA has come along as a competitive brand in the price range of many Chinese offerings.
My personal experience with a 15 year old Contender model used on various firearms over the years until the reticle adjustment finally stopped working, I contacted BSA/GAMO about repair options and after sending the scope back I received a new model Contender costing me only shipping.(I still had the box but no proof of purchase after 15 years and they still warranteed the scope....outstanding!
)
I also own 4 of the air gun Essential models for use on spring guns and they have held up (so far) and are clear enough for normal range air gun use.

Like jus tom I think they are good scopes in their price range. I've had a edge pistol scope that was pretty good and now I have the one midway sells exclusively. It's a 4x14x44 ffp and I really am happy with it. The one you asked about seems to get good reviews. Depending on what type of airgun you are going to put it on will probably determine if it will hold up.

I'll second Tom's comments concerning BSA's customer service. My 2x20 Edge arrived without the EDGE medallion. I phoned and had one in a few days. I use it on a springer pistol - no problems. RC

It depends on what gun you would be mounting it to. If it's a PCP, I agree with bgmcgee , the midway BSA first focal plain scope is soooo tempting I would definitely try one! I shoot springers and that scope is not air gun rated or I would own one. I'm in scope search now myself. Good luck.
