"R & L" is selling refurb Titan "GP" rifles for $99 , here's the link if you're interested....
http://www.rlairgunsupply.com/cart/products/Crosman_Titan_GP_22_Caliber_W_4X32_Scope_Nitro_Piston-694-9.html
I believe this is the lower FPS Titan. The "R & L" site lists the FPS at 800 but "P.A." lists the FPS at 695, I have no experience with the rifle so I'm not sure which is closer to correct.
Anyway, just thought I'd post it in case anyone is interested.

I bought one for $6 more from R & L and I'm happy. Still haven't shot it but it looks great.

Is that the same as the Wal-Mart Titan that costs $149? I didn't think anyone could undercut Wal-mart
If it's a refurb, then I understand why it's cheaper

They are refurbished and have less power than the NP. It does have the Nitro Piston. The one my buddy got from them was flawless and shoots really well. He paid $105.00 from R&L just two weeks ago. To me it's the best deal out there. The scope did not impress me, though he is new to air guns (thanks to me)
and he's OK with it. By the way, another buddy of mine just ordered one on Friday. That's a total of four newbies in 30 days. What have I done to my Friends? I'll put them on the crony when I can.

Pete, the ones I have purchased from R&L as refurbs look better than the ones I have bought from Wall Mart. They have a real light "R" stamping on left side of breech block. They look new to me when I take them appart. As far as I know the rams are same in both Titan and NP. Just the Titan is plain with no checkering, shroud or weaver style pi-canany mounts.

I bought mine from R&L when they were $105, my neighbor bought one too, both flawless and shoot great. I would think all the refurbs are due to this being a Wal-Mart gun and they get 1000's of returns for one reason or another?
Most of the refurbs I've seen are models that are carried by big box stores...Wally, Dicks, Academy, etc...

Does anyone have the answer as to whether this model that R&L has is the lower powered Titan? I'd really consider it, but don't want the low powered version.
Thanks,
Wade

I believe this is the regular .22 version and not the lower power version. I've based this off of the Crosman model numbers.
R&L lists the refurb as model 9-C8M22NPRM ("RM" i assume is for "remanufactured")
Crosman lists the regular version as C8M22NP and the lower velocity as model number C7M22NP.
Here's the Crosman manual from PA -
https://www.pyramydair.com/air-gunsresources/manuals/Crosman-Titan-Nitro-Piston-Lower-Velocity-air-rifle-manual.pdf
See section noted "Specifications".
Of course, the best way to find out is to call R&L directly.

PA states the GP has lighter cocking effort, REDUCED VELOCITY and lighter trigger pull. Go to PA and click compare on both guns.

For kicks, I called R&L and spoke to Randy. He said it's the 800 fps model. I tried get clarification since "GP" is designated as the lower power version on PA, but he reiterated that it's the standard 800 fps model.
According to Crosman the C8M22NP model (Product ID: 9-C8M22NPRM on R&L site) has the 800 fps with standard pellets.
Hope that helps those who are still trying to decide if they want this one.

Mine got here yesterday and spent the morning shooting it. My wife also approved it as my Valentines day present
I don't have a chrony, but it is putting pellets into 2x6 equally as deep as my B21.
I am 6'5" with big hands and long fingers... I don't have a problem with the hand grip as some do, but can appreciate what they mean.

Late seeing this but I, too, bought one from Randy at R&L on January 23rd. I paid $105 for mine. Having no experience with refurbs I spoke to Randy about this Titan being such an animal... he told me they bought a lot of these refurbs from Crosman and out of the 30 or so from this shipment, none had been returned to him. He said he'd pick out a good one for me and he surely did. It looks like new, no scratches or dings anywhere and it's a very smooth shooter in all respects. Due to the foot of snow we had since my purchase, I've been unable to get out and shoot it as it should be shot nor have I had the opportunity to run it over the chrony. So far, I'm pleased with this Titan. I'll know more as soon as I'm able to get outside and shoot.

Snow bites it! Was half nice today but still have like 2 ft on the ground. Shot in basement.Shot the Falcon 25 and had one pellet go through the trap. Have cardboard box stuffed with newspapers and cardboard. Must have been a shot on top of one another and pushed it through. 1200' 177 cal don't go through it.....I think the smaller diameter would go through easier. Shot about 40 rounds today and only that one went through and have a multi layer backstop behind the trap and cement wall in back of that so it isn't going anywhere.
Walther Falcon is a bear to cock...I would say high 40's low 50's. Is a heavy recoiler also. Haven't mounted any scopes yet. Want to smooth these out. Will shoot my Titan tomorrow and the B-25.
