Quality scope for 200

I am looking into a new scope, preferably 6-24x40-50. I am favoring a hawke 6-24 varmint simply because of the reputation of the hawke brand. I am trying to talk myself out of it just because it is $209. Criteria: preferably less than 22 oz. 6-24 magnification or similar. Quality and clarity close to the hawke. If all else fails I will just shell out the money for the hawke.

Also, how does the varmint 6-24x44 compare to a hawke eclipse 6-24x50 on clarity?

Bob the Varmint 6-24x44 is on sale at Bud's Gun Shop for $164. I bought the Varmint from Bud's in Sept and I would recommend the scope in a heart beat. 18oz and solid in the hand.

 Hawke warranty and customer service is top notch. If you do not abuse the scope it will be covered for life, all you pay is the shipping to Hawke. Everything else is covered. All scopes in this price will be delicate with the possibility of breaking. So whatever you choose look into the warranty.

Just got vector sentinel 6-24x50 from China yesterday. Build quality is surprisingly good. Cant wait for weekend to test it.
