After not owning a springer for a couple of years and being fully committed to PCPs I have made a regression. I being looking for a while for a d48 177. I have alway liked them. I did not want spend to much on it due to that I mostly shot PCPs. Thanks to Paul Capello I have one coming. I'm very excited about.

It is a T5 model but it has a T6 trigger. The mail cylinder has been honed. I have not decided if I'll detune it down to 12 fpe but it is in my mind.

Should be here tomorrow. I'll post pictures once it comes in.

Regression is a GOOD THING !!
I too consciously force myself to shoot my spring guns. Doing so typically get the mindset " No dang Wonder I love PCP's So Much "
You just have to work threw your shooting skills for a spell which as it ends up makes us better PCP shooters too !

By not means I'm giving up my PCPs

Actually,I'm in the process of powering up my SynRod 25. Getting a longer cast barrel and aiming for 80fpe. But for some reason I'm more excited about the D48.

We will see how long it takes me to get frustrated with accuracy, specially when I'm going to be comparing it to my disco and MPR.

I also figured that every air gunner needs to have at least on springer.

And to think I just sold my one and only remaining springer (NP) to reimburse myself for the cost of my new to me Crosman 140.

Actually the springers help me to keep my focus when shooting in general. Possibly because it forces me to rely on the "Force" to keep my groups as tight as possible . You know the "Zen" thingy

I'm going to start the research for the right Feng Shui for my range. I got to make sure the range gives off the right vibes. I'm sure it will make a difference.

I like it! Springers made me a better shooter. Get the right springer and you are shooting dime groups at 25 to 30 easily. once you work out your bad habits

. I shoot my springers pretty much exclusively from May to October.

I agree with you guys about becoming a better shooting with a springer. You have to pay more attention on how to handle the gun. I'm glad I started with AGs with springers.

I recently bought a Daisy Red Ryder, mainly for kids to enjoy at my house. I had the pleasure of helping my Grandson pull the trigger for his first time.
Once in a while, I'll pull it out to see if I can ding it off of something across the yard. And I never shoot just one BB.

So, you aren't the only to regress. And I don't regret it.

Amen to that and there is still something very comforting and convenient in being able to grab a rifle to go shooting and not having to worry about fill pressure, pumping and/or scuba tanks. It's one of the reasons we always take a piston gun along with PCPs when we step out to our backyard range for a little spur of them moment shooting fun.

That is very cool Daniel. I think you will really like the 48. AGD had refurbs for $259 last year and I wanted one really bad but couldn't fit it in the budget. My .22 cal. lost a bit of power when I installed the Vortek kit but it shoots like a dream. I'll bet the .177 will be the same. Looking forward to hearing about it.

It finally came in!!!!!

The gun looks brand new. A couple of tiny scratches on the blueing by the beartrap and on one finger nail mark on the stock. I'm very happy. I took it outside (weather is bad) and took 5 shots. The cocking effort is smooth. Very solid thump. Seams to have plenty powerful right now I'm just gauging by the sound when it hit a wood back drop. The trigger is very light for a springer. I might not even mess with it. Smooth pull and clear brake. If I had to guess, about 1 to 1.5 pound pull. I will check it with my trigger guage. If the weather cooperates I'll chrony it tomorrow.

here are a couple of pictures. I did mount a scope on it. UTG 10x50 swat. I used a drooper UTG rail and medium Hawke rings. I think I will buy some low rings. But If do that I might remove the sights.

Very nice! I think you would like lower rings, as you mentioned. And I wouldn't remove the sights, unless you just want to. If you can see them in the scope, they would probably just be a small blur in the bottom. I'd see what it looks like first.

The T06 on my D54 feels totally different than any of the D34 T06 I had..not sure why
