I just wanted to post a couple pics of some toys I found at work Saturday. I work at a pawn shop and these are a few of the airguns I found mixed in with the powderburners we have. The rifles aren't really much, other than I liked the 1400 enough that I brought it home so I can repair it for myself. The revolver though, now that one I thought was really cool and in the shape it is in , still in the box with all the paperwork, now that one really surprised me.
Anyway , I just wanted to share a couple pics and strike up a conversation about what I found. Anyone know anything about the handgun?

Nice find on that revolver! I was just going to post up about a new version of that Colt revolver that is coming from Uramax
It is a Co2 six gun highly detailed with shells you have to load...like a Colt single action version of the Dan Wesson!

I stop be the local Pawn Shops on a regular basis just to see what they have and you never know what's there day to day. The rifle on top looks interesting. You might want to look into it to see if it's worth a second look?

The 1400 is a nice rifle. I have the Sears version and it will not be leaving my collection.

That top rifle reminds me of a remmington speedmaster 22 cal rifle. If they sit there much longer the other two rifles will probably end up home with me also. It isn't like I don't have enough projects already. LOL. With that 1400 , the 880 and two 760's I have to rebuild, plus a Winchester 1906 rimfire, I will have my plate full for the winter.

It does look like a Remington .22 from the 60's or 70's that's why I think it worth a second look. It looks like it's in great shape and that's what's hard to find. Most guns like that were just thrown away when the kid that owned it got tired of it or it broke. I think it's a CO2 bb auto loader and fairly rare in that condition? It's could be worth more than all the guns you mentioned except for possibly the 1400 and the 1906 rimfire.

the top one is a daisy pump (like a pump shotgun it slides, not pivot like a pump air gun) action BB gun, it's a copy of that Remington, it's kinda neat, I have one and looked it up, the tube on mine broke and I've yet to take the time to figure out how to take it apart...

I just might have to push the 1400 to the front of the line. Hahahahaha. I believe it just needs seals because it pumps but you hear the air escape as you pump it. So now I will need to do a search for seal kits for it , as well as for the 880 and 760.

Oh as long as I have mentioned the 760 I have two of those. One is all plastic and the other has a wood forearm. Am I guessing correctly when I say the wood one is a older model 760?

Also, on the 880, I bought that one new in 1983. It has a metal receiver. Do I need a special seal kit for that one, or are they all the same? Funny part about that gun is It still has the bb's in it from the last time I shot it back in 1990.

On the 1400, try a few drops of 30wt non-detergent oil on the pump felt. Otherwise it will need a new Quad-ring in the valve cap. If you do not unscrew the valve halves, you will only need a # 111 O-ring and the #007 Quad-ring. A worthwhile mod to the 1400 is to counterbore the barrel for a modern T-port.

Altho I have a lot of respect for the Daisy pistol.. I have no use or desire to have one. That 1400 on the other hand.... well, if it gets in your way, I have some spare room here. Saturday a co-worker brought me one that he got off of a guy that owed him $10. This poor thing was a mess. Someone had even stuffed the end of the barrel in the mud. The clear was all but gone on the wood and all the steel was surface rust. I wasn't very hopeful but I could not resist the challenge. Sunday morning I got up at around 4:00 am, grabbed some coffee and headed off to the gunroom. 4 hours later I emerged with a nice shooting and looking 1400. That mud and the good seat on the bolt actually protected the inside of the barrel. The wood sanded right off and refinished nicely. I was amazed that the piston pump seal was soft and usable. I had a seal kit from a 140 here and it worked for the valve. And I sanded the surface rust off of the metal and gave it a nice flat black paint job. Now I want this gun... I hate when that happens. Anyhow getting to my point.... If it pumps and pushes air out the barrel.. the pump pistol seal seem to be working. There is probably gunk in the valve and the quad seal on the cocking cap is probably dried out. I would pull it apart, soak it in alcohol and put a little of Timmy's secret sauce on it before I ordered a kit. And if it does need a kit, Timmy at MAC1 airguns is where I would go. The kit is $25 and $4 shipping. It comes with all the O-rings including the bolt seal and a replacement for the piton pump seal setup which converts it to an o-ring seal. He also has a link to a video that shows how to install the replacement. And you get enough secret sauce to last a lifetime. Good find and good luck

Thanks for the info . I will try the oil on the felt first and if that don't work I will give Timmy a yell for a kit.
The air I am hearing actually seams to be escaping from the pump area. Almost like [ now keep in mind I am new to airguns and am just learning the terms ] it is seeping by the piston, felt, or what ever that area is called. It don't seam to be coming out the barrel, but I will double check that. I do feel a little resistance as I pump it , kinda like it is trying to work, but just cant. I asked the owner of the shop about it and he said that the gun did work when it was pawned, but that was some time ago. He said, that he tests all the airguns when he takes them in and the side of the garbage can kinda proves that with its battle scars. With the exception of a small broken piece out of the bottom of the stock where the butplate should be, the rifle is in pretty good shape.

LOL... actually it's a "StreetKing".... I put an '06 Street glide front end on an '07 Road King.. But thanks.
Be careful with the "sauce" a couple drops goes a long way. Put a couple drops on the wiper, pump it a few times to work it in and stand it in the corner over night.

I guess I didn't look at the bags hard enough. The difference in the bags should have ben a dead giveaway. Hahahahahaha. I am on a 01 classic that I stripped down to the street style.
