Burgo Meisterschütze

here some pictures of a Burgo Meisterschütze from pre 1970. The Burgo-factory (Karl Burgsmüller at Kreiensen near Hannover , still exists, building special machines) produced i.a. air-guns and gas-pistols.
This rifle is simlar to the HW 35 with leather-washer and barrel lock. She is the strongest air rifle I have; maybe I must wait a hundred shots until the oil does not influence the velocity any more after restauration.
cal .177, no Rekord match trigger, barrel length 56 cm / 22 inches, plastic butt plate, two sling swivels
best regards, Jochen

Dan, you must be over 18 and the air-gun must be stamped with an "F" in a pentagon. The max. muzzle-energy is 7,5 joule.
If the weapon is original and built before 1970 (former West German make like old Dianas) or before 1989 (former East German make like old Haenel) they may have over 7,5 joule, but you are not allowed to shoot at home (only at official rifle range).

Jochen, the gun IS an HW 35. "Burgo" was not a manufacturer, but a distributor of sporting goods; they sold many Weihrauch guns in the 1950's and 60's. I have 3 HW 55's and an HW 50 which carry Burgo markings. Burgo also sold guns made by BSF and other makers.
That is an exquistite example of an early HW 35! Really a beautiful rifle. The Rekord trigger seems to have come along around 1955 give or take, so older HW's do not have it (but they still have very good triggers).
Here is an HW 55M with Burgo markings, made in the early 1960's.

Hi, just want to show the last three shots (after adjusting the scope) benchrest at 50 yds with scope (12x / Bushmaster) and JSB Exact express 7,87 gr. The gap of the caliper is 2 inches (5 cm).
Not bad for the old lady
and my limited skills.....

Totally outstanding! Thanks for these great old catalog pics.
For the record:
"410" = HW 50, note upgrade stock option
"Meisterschutze B" = HW 35
"Schutzenbruder A" = HW 55 M, with standard Bayern stock
"Schutzenbruder T" = HW 55 T, upgrade Tyrolean stock

zielvier: that's a beautiful old rifle, the stock is just exquisite! The shape of the grip and the checkering, wood grain...it's a piece of art. It's really a shame we don't see that quality of wood and workmanship on newer rifles (at least not the ones I can afford
).
