Crosman 2100 & 2200 vs Daisy 880/901 & 822/22X/22SG

I realize that there are many other comparisons out there on this issue.

As these rifles are fairly equal in power, modify-ability, etc I would like to focus in a bit of a different direction.

Which do you feel is more durable, and why.

Which do you feel is easier to work on in the feild and why.

Which do you feel is easier to make your own seals for and why.

Which do you feel is easier to make super accurate, and why.

Which do you prefer to shoot, and why (ignoring power and accuracy).

For my money on each issue:
The Daisy 22X is more durable, decent grade metal on the reciever, good resin pump arm, well made internally.   And the 901 is a close second do to its good resin housing.

The Daisy 880/901/22X are easier to work on in the feild, as no hammer is required.   Though with a replacement pivot pin the Crosman 2100/2200 can overcome this.

This one is about equal from my perspective.   The effort of making the valve seals in each is about the same, the Cup Seals in the Daisy 880/901/22X are simpler than the single cup seal in the Crosman 2100/2200.   I could not say one over the other.

My personal experience has shown me that the Daisy barrels are much better than the Crosman barrels as they come from the factory, this makes for a lot less work to get the accuracy out of the Daisy Rifles.

For me the Daisy is a lot easier to load and pump, thus it is strongly prefered (ignoring power and accuracy).   I also like it for being easy to work on, and I prefer to shoot AirRifles that are easy to work on in the field, further it fits me better than the Crosman 2x00.

Well i have a 880 and a 2200. I have had both for more than 25 years nlw and both are nice. The 880 imo is a more shooter friendly gun due to the fact its easier to pump and load. They are both about the same accuracy. The 2100 has the endge in power.

  I'll tell you soon. We all know about my 880 and how much I love it. Santa gave me Amazon cards and I have a 901, another 880 and a 2100 coming next week. Making wood stocks for the 2100 and the 880 but I'll know for certain which is my favorite and why.

Mind if I ask which MSP is easier to fit an LDC? I know I could do that with a Crosman 13XX, but I'd rather do that with a longer barreled (and stock) gun. I've got enough carbines for the moment...

Neither one.  They are both Soda Straw shrouded barrels.   Not that it would help with these rifles.
