NEED SMALL TARGET

ideas for my "shooting gallery." I got a free upright cabinet today on Craigs list.
I am making it a shooting gallery for small targets.I put several fully adjustable / interchangable shelves in it today for targets like old ammo shells, shotgun shells, toy soldiers, etc. I made a hanging spoon target [ needs to be fine tuned] that when you hit the spoons they swing up and hit a cookie sheet I screwed it the inside top.
You can remove the spoons and hang targets from it too. I also drilled holes in the top of that shelf for golf tee's. The shelves can be moved forward or backward, or removed for larger targets.I will post pictures of it tomorrow, that may help with some ideas. What do you guys shoot at?
Besides what I have above, I use cd's, chew cans,bottle caps,wine corks, etc.,but I need new ideas.
I put old idler pulleys on top of cans for a bell sound, but I'm affraid of a ricochet, so I may use those with the spoons instead. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Paint balls are fun and a real challange at 50 yards! I have shot corn kernals, gamo pellets off tooth pics, you can split the pellets! I used an old paint scraper and put 3x5 cards behind it, when you have a hole on both sides you spilt the pellet. Card cutting is fun. It all depends on the range. Beeman has steel targets that are fun. I also use the bottle lids off my wifes starbucks mocha frappachino drinks. They hold a 2 in paisty target perfectly. Just drill a hole and hang from trees. Trainer golf balls are cool. They really fly when hit. I hang them with a string from a vine and see how many hits it takes to wrap the string up around the vine. 3 hits wraps about 18 inches of line. Have shot them out to 89 yards. One guy here uses a cow bell. I am going to bend some metal I got and make one. SHould be nice and loud when hit.

Maybe a piece of 1"x1" slotted for Necco wafers? Always fun range fodder. You might also make a pendulum style target. Just a long piece with a target on the bottom, axis through the top front of the cabinet frame and another paddle on the top, adjustable so it can catch the breeze and swing back and forth.

I've used CHEEZITS held up with "BAG CLIPS". They show up good. Taste good 2 !!!
Also have hotglued aspirins to cardboard for indoors. Not too messy, but you'll have to vacuum.

Bag of multi colored lillipops at the dollar store for what, a $1? LOL
Also toy soldiers. I found some dinosaurs too. I shoot the paintballs on golf tees too. They make a nice "SPLAT".
My 4x4 backstop is covered in white paper from a roll so the hits show up well. Lollipops explode in a burst of color.
Happy Shooting!!!!

Thrift store teaspoons make good spinners. Bend the tail around a wire or bamboo dowel. Not for BBs though!
PS: DO NOT SHOOT AT GOLF BALLS! Especially indoors! Golf balls are designed to repel at such velocities. Dangerous richochets are very possible. I watched in horror as a 4X6' panel of glass behind me shattered when a .177 CPL bounced back from a Beeman R7. Glad it didn't hit me or my buddy.
Only the most powerful pellet guns will penetrate a golf ball. Ping pong balls, however, make a great substitute.

I am out of town a lot. Hotel shampoo containers are great. When they have shampoo in them they really explode and pop up. Some are more flexible and can be hit many times like a shotgun shell. Fill with hot melt glue and they make a real satisfying thunk when hit.
I like the steel lid idea. How about embedding magnets in a 2X4 so the caps stay in place until hit. Use for steel soup cans too.
I don't have a fence to block the wind and some times the cans fall down before the shot timing is funny sometimes as the cans fall
right before the shot. Like they are ducking.
Gotta get some paintballs and t's that sounds like a hoot.

Vinny, depending on your distance to target, I have 25 to 30yds in my backyard, if you feel like something challenging, try shooting fluorescent looseleaf paper reinforcements. Put your pellet thru the center hole...LOL or use the entire reinforcement as your target. I shoot using .177cal at 10meters and I try to put a pellet thru the center hole. It is pretty difficult to do but can be done.....Shoot Safe and Enjoy...Bill

Go on a safari and shoot at animal crackers! They make great bird feed when broken; no need to pick up the pieces if outside.

Spent rifle casing (.22, .243, 30-06, 9mm) and spent shotgun shell.
Break a sticks of chalk into three pieces and lay on side, shoot at the ends. Or use a wooden close pin to hold the stick of chalk upright and see how many times you can clip the top until you run out of chalk.
Plastic gas card, find them on the ground while buying gas. Shoot them on edge.
Or Vinny you can send me your shooting gallery and I will let you know of all the stuff I shoot off of it.
