You have to put the bolt back HARD,really put some force on it!
Yes, check with PAThat being said, I will add that both of the .25 cal. rifles I have purchased were also difficult to cock - at first. Mine have gotten easier to cock with use ( break-in ).One thing you can try, if you choose to is: Insert a 1/4" hex wrench into the hammer spring adjuster ( see pic ), and turn one full turn counter clockwise. Try cocking the rifle again to see if it cocks any easier ( you can always adjust the hammer spring adjuster back one full turn CW, if you want to ).FWIW- To prevent galling/binding of the two different metals ( steel and aluminum ), I like to coat the bolt, bolt hole, and hammer, with a light coat of a non-petroleum based product that contains moly ( in the picture, see how the bolt is coated with moly ).QuoteThanks for the tip but that didn't seem to work either.

I just bought a new Marauder .25 cal. for my father for Christmas and i wanted to dry fire it to make sure it worked fine. I filled it to about 1000 psi just so i could test it. The first thing i noticed was the bolt wont stay all the way back, it springs back forward about half way and of course when you pull the trigger there is no shot. Am i missing something Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Lars
