Beeman R9 question

What HW is the same as a R9.  I've seen it but can't find it no more.   

Should I aspire to another air rifle, that's what I'm thinkin'.

HW 95 I think is the one. I have one in 177 and one in 22. Both great

Its the hw 95 for sure. It comes with the iron sights on it.

The Beeman R9 is the same as the HW95 Lexus except for the following.........
The Beeman R9 has no provision for iron sights but comes with a set of two piece scope rings and an installed muzzle break/cocking handle. The HW95 comes with iron sights and no scope rings or muzzle break/cocking handle.

The R9/HW95 or HW98 are great guns. I use to think TX200 were the best, but have begun to move over to the Beeman/HW series guns. I traded my HW97K for an R1, and then traded my MROD for another HW97K and have not looked back. If I had it to do all over again, knowing what I know now I would not have bought any inflatables and only bought my TX200 & HW series rifles. Too tell you the real truth I do not regret most of my rifles because of the learning experience each one has taught me.

I think that the main difference between the HW77k I bought decades ago and the TX200 of the same time was "ergonomics". The HW77k (and later HW97) simply "felt" better to me and I preferred the more open loading port of the "77" to the "left side closed" loading port of the TX200. I also preferred the silent trigger blocking anti-bear trap of the "77" to the clickety/clackety anit-bear trap mechanism of the TX200. Another thing I likes better about the "77" was the off center transfer port that put the barrel closer to the scope than the central transfer port of the TX200.

Mechanically I believe that the TX200 has a better construction with nicely machined piston, piston wear rings and compression tube. While I preferred the offset transfer port of the "77" I do think that the TX200 central transfer port and donut style piston seal is a better design than the HW piston seal because the TX piston places the steel face of the piston directly behind the high temp/high pressure air jet instead of "rubber" like the HW design uses. Anywhoo.....while I PERSONALLY prefer the CONSTRUCTION of the TX200, the HW77/97 simply fit me better and that was the determining factor. MY HW77k still was an excellent shooter after a couple decades and 10s of thousands of shots till I sold it a couple seasons ago so it's construction was certainly adequate!
