BKL's are grat. A one piece Hawke will work just fine also.

NO pellet lube required in spring guns generally. If it's spewing oil enough to get on your glass's ... Thats NOT good

I made the same choice going with the TX
I shot the TX the HW the LGU and the PS. The cocking of the Pro sport felt uncomfortable. The HW was the top of the list. But the TX won out. The barrel location ,ease of maintenance. The wealth of knowledge about tuning all pushed the TX to te top. Add Terry Doe and Tom Gylords praise and I went to the TX. Also the stock. It is just beautiful. I can't wait

I use BKL double straps, have never moved. She will diesel for quite a while, they really load up the lube from the factory. If you want, that gun is really easy to break down ..... clean out some lube and reassemble ... or clean all the lube, and re-lube. I just put up with it for about 1000 rounds ..... re-lubed way later. Enjoy.

Thanks all for your replies. I got to shot 20 pellets this afternoon. Four 5 shot groups. I checked my glasses after each group. After the first there were about a dozen droplets on my glasses, after the last there was only about 3. So it's getting better.price.
Also I noticed that the pellets that were launched at 860fps and above were grouping very nicely. I had a few fliers and they were hitting approx 1/2 to 3/4" to the right. All the fliers were roughly 30 to 50 psi slower than the others. What would be causing this?

Lot of things can cause that .... dieseling will throw off your POI, as well as deformed pellet skirts, or other pellet imperfections. I wouldn't worry about it for now, get the gun broken in, 1000 or 2 rounds .... learn how to hold her, then you can start dialing her in.

Another vote for the BKL double-straps. The only other mount I use is a BKL dovetail-to-Weaver riser with Burris Signature Zee rings. Neither set-up has ever given me problems.
