bushnell legend question

I just picked up a Philippines made legend.  Very nice optics but there are a couple of issues.  While zeroing the scope the windage  adjuster broke...the little oblong piece that screws into the turret.  I made a piece up that sticks out further and easier to grasp but boy is the adjustment ever tight.  Is there some way to loosen that up?  What about a very small drop or 2 of light oil placed along the outer edge so it can work its way under? 

The other issue is the AO is also very tight and hard to turn.  A while back I had seen something that goes over the AO with a bit of a nub sticking out that you can use to turn the AO.  I cant remember where I saw it or what it was called.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

Doesn't the Legend have a "no questions asked" warranty from Bushnell?  Might be worth sending it in...

I called Bushnell and they are sending me out the adjuster knob.  As long as the windage is close to center it turns freely...also freely to right of center.  It is only as you go left that it gets harder to turn.  I have a pair of sun optics adjustable rings on the way so we'll see how that works out.

I really wish I could remember where I saw that piece that goes around the focus ring...the bushy is stiff to adjust as will as one of my leapers.
