.22 Destroyer

Hi folks:
I just received a new catalog from Crosman with the latest info.
In looking it over I noticed the section on pellets offered includes the ever popular Destroyer-177. I have been a fan of this item for a good while, and in fact my silent cat loves them.
I have wondered about a .22 version, and called to find if it was available. Sadly no was the response, with no plans for them in the future.
I now have the new catalog which shows what appears to be the destroyer in….25 cal.
I am sure many of us are fans of the 177, and have probably wished for a .22 addition.
I just cannot imagine why it would be released as a .25, with no .22 at all.
Whadaya think?
? Bob

They never grouped well for me at 20 yards from my Whisper. I used them up in my 1377 in the basement at 10 meters. They were just ok with that gun. Don't plan to use them again.

thats because they wont give good groups if you use them at longer ranges. they are designed for close range hunting situations. if you cant get close, then you need to work on your stealth abilities.

My Whisper loves the destroyer EX and I love the price. Although I shoot it indoors at 15 yards.

I'm starting to think it is the pellet makers and NOT the gun makers who are running the show here

Absolutely none of my guns even like the Destroyer EX's.... They do warm up nicely with the standard Destroyer's, tho....
On a side note, I just pulled out the digital scale to weigh out a couple of each.... the standard Destoyers are the typical 7.9gr while the Destroyer EX's tip the scale at 7.5gr... which may explain why the EX's almost fall out the end of my Gamo Big Cat when I load 'em up....

my tx 200.177 loves them. I love the loud pop when they connect. would love .22 destroyer ex my backyard is small seldom more then 20yds to target. using wadcutters. in .22 . they hit pretty hard and my trail np loves them would love a .22 hunting pellet. for longer shots the 410e gets the nod and it's .177cph's.
I would be a big fan of the ex.22's if they shot well in my benjamin,NP. let us know how yout 725 likes the .25ex's.

The Destroyer Ex shoots very accurate out of my Crosman 1077. 10 shots inside of a dime at 10 yards. When my friends shoot the 1077, they go thru a lot of pellets since I get almost 400 shots from the 88g cartridge. As cheap as they are, they can shoot all day
