Making of an Adustable trigger blade ( Theoben / RAW type )

Sharing the 1/2 days work of some prototype trigger work manufacturing an ADJUSTABLE match type trigger blade.

Block was machined up replacing factory blade for this modular adjustable design.


Other end of block fitted with linkages / shoe etc ...
Shoe is a smile cut from a delrin round and backed with a set screw post.


Both factory blade & new side by side.


New trigger assembly being fitted and 1st adjustments made.


Stacked blades showing profile likeness / differences.



Bottom side of trigger block once assembled. *Factory sear screws still accessible. Set screw shown where wire pass's threw block controls in & out travel, side to side swing of wire and trigger shoe orientation within finger guard.



What Adjustable blade looks like within assembled rifle.


Wish to change shoes shape & profile, size, color etc ... single 4-40 set screw on back lug connects it to the wire post.


** Trigger shoe position can be adjusted  up/down, forward/back, side/side by moving the wire within block.
 Shoe face left/right, up/down on wire post & shoe face position rotated out of vertical CC/CCW as well.

Thanks for following along ... this was a one off part done with No drawings, Sketches etc .... it just sorta became what it was by having a thought of something like that ... turning into something like this

I had a trigger just like that Mike Dewey made me for my XP100 for IHMSA competition.

It was set @ 5 oz but instead of a blade he made me a little 'barrel' that he cross hatched the face of with a jewelers file...

I won every competition I ever shot with that gun including a 6 State Regional in 2003...never made it to the Worlds in Texas though...being married got in the way!
