FWB 300S - resurrection project

Howdy, folks. A friend's mother passed away a while back. He and his brother are interested in resurrecting her old guns. I'd gone through the Modell 65 and Modell 2 to get a parts list, but then he broke out the Modell 300S. It, unlike the pistols, was stored well greased. The outside will be easy as it will be a matter of simply wiping down and cleaning up. The internals is where my question lays.
Looking over the parts diagram, it would appear that only the following parts are likely to need changing - due to deterioration. There was a 1500.11.3 seal in the box with the rifle, but it was brittle and got tossed. So, the following are the only seals/consumables in the system, correct? Does the 300S require any specific lube like the Modell 65 does?
1500.121.3 - sealing ring
1500.127.3 - buffer
1500.128.3 - sealing
I've done basic cleanups on other spring powered rifles before and see nothing (so far) different about the 300S. Other than careful cleaning and lubing, is there anything that needs to be addressed on these old rifles? I found a good video on YouTube on taking one apart and then putting it back together, it looked pretty straight forward and obvious. So far I've not put a screw driver to anything on this rifle as I wanted to ask here before proceeding in case there was something that needs special attention.
Thanks for any feedback on this. It is greatly appreciated. The rifle is in great shape, just needs some TLC to get cleaned up and ready to roll again.

Those involving teams and balls of any sort tend to be deleterious to one's body and promote violence by both spectators and participants. The shooting sports, however, tend to promote self control and are peaceably participated in by those who know that their greatest challenge is their need to continually hone their own abilities.

I think if you follow the YouTube video for taking apart the FWB 300, you will be able to do so with little problem. Its a good idea to replace the piston bumper if you do open it up. The spring would depend on if the one in that rifle seems tired or worn out. You should also replace the seal on the compression tube in case its worn. The metal piston ring on the outside of the piston is supposed to last a very long time and likely wouldn't need replacing unless you see a large amount of wear. For lube, use something moly-based and try not to use too much. Keep the lube from getting ahead of the piston to limit the possibility of dieseling.
I'd say open it up and check how the parts are for wear. Then order only the parts that seem to need a replacement. Good luck!

Thanks, Mark. I appreciate the feedback. So lube would be something like Maccari's moly?

Yes, go with the tried and true Maccari moly paste for lube and you can't go wrong. Just go lightly so you can hopefully avoid any dieseling caused by too much lube migrating to the front of the piston seal.
