On Sat 2/19 at 11am till Dusk at Daveshoot's house in Valley Center we will be having a Fun Shoot Meet and Greet! Here's a chance to blow the dust off of the air guns and get out and do some shooting and meet some great people as well. For directions to Daveshoot's house pm me or Dave and we'll give you the address. Items To Bring. Air Guns here's a great chance to show off your rig and to try other peoples shooters. A chair to sit on. A shooting table if you have one. Targets and Pellet traps. Field Targets if you have them. Beverages to drink and a snack. I'm in!

We'll keep an eye on the weather as we get closer. Hopefully it's gotten all the rain out of it's system for a while.

I think the main range will be up to 80 yards. If we get crazy, Wingman lasered an angle that would net us over a 100... but for airgun purposes we can shoot from 10 to 50 no problem.

In general terms, it's northeast of Escondido, about a mile south of the Valley View casino (in Valley Center, northeast San Diego county). If that works for you, we want to see you and your guns!

Been to Bates Nut Farm many times...you must be very near Woods Valley Rd (intersection)

Very near, about 300 ft. from the intersection. When you see the warning sign on Lake Wohlfrod Rd. for the Woods Valley STOP sign, that's our side drive.

I've often thought that Bates must have some little rodent issues they'd like attended to...

I picked up some discarded pallets today, to experiment with portable backstops at different ranges. These are for safety only, still need some duct seal or carpet traps to put in front of them.

Well I made a portable benchrest for the shoot on the 19th... I have to test it out this week... I'll post pic's of it. I have to stain the plywood..

Had to tweak it some to take wiggles out,but works good for casual field bench shooting...also made a target frame...all fits in the Totota trunk....

My bench at home..solid for more precision shooting..

Whoa Rich, what do you have there? Definitely bring that if it arrives in time!!!

Rich is the 850 poster child but that there was a cool-looking shootin' iron.

I think there would also be some Marauder Rifle and Pistol action and a very healthy variety of springers. Seems to me there was a Talon SS last time, and Jon's "buffet" of 22xx gas pistols. I also have a steroided Sheridan and some pistols if we get time... you never know what else will show up!

I don't think lack of guns will be an issue.

This is an interesting setup based on the 1377 platform....new design riser breech from 6061 aluminum with picatinny scope rail and larger pellet loading slot....new design trigger grip frame with 2 stage adjustible trigger,new bolt and 1.5" carbon shroud with accuracy prepped 20" barrel.,plus valve mods....so only thing used from the 1377 is the pump lever and tube..

I slapped together a rifle leaning rack today using only scrap found in the garage. I think it will hold 9 or 10, and I thought about building another... here is an assortment of large and small to test it out...

Re the 1377 Sniper..I'm not having anodizing done because I want it flat black...got a single point sling coming from BDS Tactical (Oceanside) and have a scope waiting..UTG 3-12x44 SWAT SF..

Kinda chomping at the bit right now..

weather.com has Sat listed as "Few" Showers, yesterday it was Showers perhaps the storm will fizzle.

I got out to Jacumba today to check the LDC on Renegade, no dust escaped and it was more backyard friendly than my QB 79, it sure did flip the .22 rated spinner. I also tried my new low vellocity Titan, that is going to be fun, I went through maybe 200+ pellets and it seemed to shoot everything well, mind at only 13 or so yards. I was really happy the cheap "Peak" pellets cut paper real nice.

After getting back home I went ahead and installed the gold trigger now that I know this rifle is a keeper. I'm real suprised I like this blister packed rifle so much. I realy liked its easy cocking was not tiring are stressfull at all, yet was hitting just as hard as my 850 co2.

I'll bring my popup unless the weather goes to flat out rain, then I'm afraid I'll have to make it another time, keeping my fingers crossed in Santee..

I know they closed the south range,but the north was to remain open..
