Wondering what is the best location to mount a bipod? This is going on a Crosman Challenger PCP which has a Anschutz type rail on the forearm. I have about 14" of horizontal rail to mount to. Do I want it at the balance point or in front or behind? This will be used for benchrest only. On my way! all my other rifles I mounted on the swivel stud wherever that was located. I'm confused with a choice.

What kind of bipod and how are you going to mount it? I ask because I have modded a 1760 into a Challenger stock and know nothing about bipods or how to mount on the Challenger rail.
