Hey, thanks! It's a neat pistol. It says Made in Italy on the receiver (left side) and Crosman Corporation, Bloomfield NY on the other - I have no idea if Beretta had a hand in it, though.
I bought it about 10 years ago when I left the Army. We carried M9 (Beretta 92) pistols as sidearms and I wanted a keepsake. It's a very remarkable facsimile, and the weight is very accurate (the entire gun is metal - except grips and rear sight). I'm just not that into pistols any more, and I don't ever take it out and shoot anymore.
Here's the right side.
I forgot to post a pic to photobucket of the piercing setup inside the grip. I'll try and remember to do that when I get home tonight. It's nice; there's no screw hanging off of the bottom of the grip.
The "magazine release" - pushed in from the right side - pops the left grip off to expose the powerlet and piercing lever.
The "slide lock" lever pushes FORWARD (not up) to release the upper part of the slide for loading. The safety is ambidextrous and functional.
The "takedown lever" is just molded onto the frame and has no function.
