cheapest scba fill assy

I've been doing some research on this and the cheapest option by far for my tank (CGA-347 valve) is to buy parts separately. The setup I have planned looks like - CGA to NPT adapter->NPT cross connected to a bleed valve, gauge, and the hose. The whole setup should run around $100 using high quality components. Could be cheaper too but I'm figuring out which parts would be most cost effective.

I had a cheap scuba yoke and whip that popped a hose after about sox months.  You are money ahead by not skimping on high pressure gear, buy a decent piece from a reputable site (which I think includes those already suggested).

ive had a cheap hose pop too. im not looking to skimp just get out the cheapest way.

I ended up with 2 aluminum 45cubic ft tanks, that fill to 2216psi.
Like new, never used, they just sat in a rack with a care taker charge.

I intended to use them with my first PCP, filling to 1500psi.
But the cost of the cga347 fill adapter kept me from getting or building one.
(The price of building one was within $15-$20 of a new one from a reputable company)

If I was to buy one, it would be the one from Joe B. It has gauges for the gun side and the tank side.

But I rapidly outgrew the need for the 2216 tanks.

Now I need 2500-3000.

I just purchased a used 2 year old 4500 cf tank with the fill adapter from a reputable company,
for just a little more than the cost of the cga347 fill adapter.

Now I need to sell the 2 2216 tanks.

Remember, the fill set up doesn't have an expiration date, nor time testing requirements.  The tank is the weaker link in the equation. I learned the hard way.

Don't get me wrong, I think Joe B. is a great guy and I appreciate his presence in this industry.  But there may be other options depending on your needs.  Here is  a big question to consider:  Do you plan to cart your tank places, or will it mostly sit there where you shoot?  If you aren't going to move it around a lot, you might consider something like this:

A metal tank that will go to 4250psi - a lot of places only fill to 4200 anyway - and you aren't limited on your investment to a 15 year life.  I will probably get one of these in the spring when I buy a new tank.

I'm still using a 3000psi scuba tank that meets my needs for the time. It sits in place mostly, but I strapped it to a golf club cart in case I decide to move it around.

I shouldn't have said the tank, but instead the tank valve.
Figure out what you ultimately want. Scba tanks in general come with cga-347 valve, in the used market. Certain vendors offer scba tanks with din-300. Din-300 is a scuba standard, so moving up to scba may cause you to have to rebuy a fill assy, unless you have it planned out. Buy once, unlike what I did.

Guys cheap and high pressure go together like drinking and driving. Don't skimp on your fill station, theres a difference between bargain shopping and cheap. I have a $700 regulator that I got for $150 I think, fully tested by Tescom. Ordered my hose from Ralston Instrumentation,bleed valve from a Fire Fighter supply company and foster fitting from Tim at MAC 1 and its a true Foster fitting made in the ole USA. Just be careful guys, your not playing with a RED RYDER now, this stuff can KILL you if you don't take certain safety precautions. Happy shooting!

I brought two used scba tanks and they had the gauge on it so I just needed the fill hose. had one made for 150.00 and it was thick, rated for 6000psi and wasted air.
brought this below from Pyramyd for 90.00 and have not had a issue in over a year using it, used less air built in bleeder.

There is a company that makes a gauge that attaches between the fill hose, and the gun.

two options, you can go by the tank gauge or get a inline gauge.
i got a inline gauge for my rainstorm 3d after I had a reg installed.
