I think I've yet to see anyone else do this test yet. Here are my results. I'll admit I wasn't shooting my best this morning, and I think I was a bit more still when shooting the boxed ones, but still, I think there is a difference. Gun: Benjamin Discovery .177. Distance was 25 yards, a little wind; the ones from the tin grouping over an inch with the boxed ones shooting 1/2-3/4".

Yes Amos, You are another testimony that even if you have a bad day...and we ALL sure do!!!
That the boxed Premier Pellets will still do their job, with much better consistency (coming from the same die and date, as the box indicates), over the cheaper unsorted tins or CPHPs that the Department stores sell to folks.
"Cheap" only goes so far to me, when choosing ammo...but pellets are cheap/count, so buying cheap ones, and only getting 70% consistency at best, is not "cheap" anymore.
Edit: They're just fine for play and plinking at shorter range tho. I keep a couple tins.

Yup ... sort of like having the factory do a roll and sort before packaging.
As stated ... same die lot for all the pellet in the boxs, where as the tins are bulk packaged off many dies in the production facility.

I just picked up a can of those 10.5s and in my Diana 280, today I got some 1/2" groups at 30yds. I will try them again tomorrow just to be sure. They seem to be pretty consistent with their fit in the breech so far.
