Matt15,~35 FPE! Holy cow! I thought my XS28M was a canon at 24 FPE. Yeah I would definitely have one of those bad boys tuned otherwise it might rattle your fillings loose. I did not know springers went that high in power (I assume it's .25). I wonder what the cocking effort is like and the all important trigger. Will your review be posted on this thread? I look forward to it. Rudeboy,I bought a fully tuned XS28M from Mike Melick (Flying Dragon Air Rifles) that I couldn't be happier with but it's not in the MEGA MAGNUM class.Question for both of you. What do you plan on shooting that requires that much power?
The Turkish Patriot is made by Hatsan.
Well, it wont quite be up to the quality of the old English made Patriots, but it will be pretty nice. Just pointing out to the OP that he is trying to decide between the Webley or the Hatsans, and that he's actually getting a Hatsan anyways
So Matt,How's your Turkish Webley Patriot working out? How did you find the finish and QC on the gun?Dennis

Love the trigger it is smooth and very short pull compared to my crosman 2100. It has been tuned with a vortex piston and seal (I think) and shoots 37 FPE. At 15 yards it went through two 1/2 inch pieces of plywood that were 4 feet apart. My dad still can not get over how big it is. It is probably bigger and weighs than his 870 12 ga. shot gun

It takes some time to get a hold of mastering it but is fairly easy from the get go. Just getting the fine motor skills down to hold and follow through it that rifle is almost a consistent hitter with 100% accuracy. I only had the every so often slight miss but blame it on me for rushing a shot or anticipation mainly. We find this alot in our agency on the firing range with shooters anticipation of recoil. The numbers on this post tuned rifle baffled me for sure. It went from being a hammer to a sledge! Hopefully that will settle in a bit as you shoot it Matt and tames up a bit. But that rifle's main spring was massive like no other I had dealt with. There is a reason this rifle is a BEAST to a degree. You shot a nutter yet to see what it will do?

It is awesome. I have not shot a squirrel with it but can not wait to shoot one. What size groups did you get a 30 yards Mike?

I shot my steel swingers with it and at 35 yards consistenty hit a 3" swinger with it. Wish I had some numbers for you.
