Advice about tuning HW77 with 25mm piston

I bought a older Beeman HW77 with a 25mm piston. Still waiting on the big brown truck!!
I want to shoot this gun open sighted for silhouette. I know that everyone is using scopes and there is not class for open sight. I expect all of my shooting will be on my makeshift range in the back yard. Next year I will decided if I go with a Nice PCP or Springer for real competition.
How should I tune this gun. Looking for info and which kit and to what FPE. Im thinking 12FPE and Voretk but want to hear your opinions. Hold sensitivity and accuracy are most important to me.

If access to a Lathe is doable ? .... save the kit for another day IMO.
get some Acetal rod ( AKA: Delrin ) and make up a fitted Spring guide and Thrust washer set.
Lube tune going LIGHT on application.
* make sure piston seal is good as are breech seals .... SHOOT IT !!
