Hi Jesse, I would get a hw80 in .20 cal they are sweet shooters and very accurate or a rws r54.22 sweet and very accurate im a proud owner of one I got from Don ...I also am eyeing a new .25 850. From Roald I own a co2 version in .177 and love it , awwile ago I was gonna purchase a pcp but funds wasnt there but as I gget back on track im really thinking of the 850 in pcp there very, very accurate , thr .177 I own is extremely accurate and wouldnt mind another so surprise us with your purchase ...1200.00 is good for a prosport airarms as well so many to choose for under the amou t u are spending plus glass ....jorge

I own your old Condor and it ain't goin nowhere. I think the D-52 and TX are a little heaver than I really want. To be truthful I have been looking at the HW80/R1 and another HW98/R11 in .22 caliber with a Paul Watts tune and some nice Glass.

There is just something about the HW98/R1 that I really like even though my current one needs a little work. I also believe spring piston guns just have more soul than PCPs. LOL

My disabilities do not let me mow (it is not the sitting but the bumps in the yard). I just have to let my wife do that one. She actually enjoys mowing, but I think she likes having someone else mow instead. I also do not get honey do jobs because of the disabilities, so I have children that are more than capable to preform such duties.

My youngest is giving serious thought to starting college this year. ( maybe another broke four years for me)

I like my air rifles but reality is about a 500 dollar a year budget and no fantasy $ for me...

I would put out a WTB ad for a Theoben Fenman Profle with a nice scope. Since this gun is a unicorn, I'd probably opt for another Pro Sport with a custom stock. Sorry TX, you're just not as pretty.
The TX is good looking but not a stunner, it's the Pro Sport I look at every time I walk by the room where they all sit.
Since there's a little money left over, I'd probably get another R7. One can never have too many R7's

Yup, that's about what I paid for mine brand new. With the leftover $800 he can get the Leupold 6.5-20 EFR (with the standard duplex reticle).

If I had to spend most or all of the money on a springer, I too would opt for just keeping the money for a later purchase especially if it could be an FX in .25!!!

I would probably go with an .22 air arms s510 or a Sumatra 2500 Air Rifle .25! But right now my budget is $200. But I am a saving up.

I got the SS look beech TH version. I think it's the nicest looking 97 by far.
Slimmer than the TX, just as accurate and just gorgeous!!
$900 for the rifle, $300 for shipping, Vortek kit and tune, $350 for Hawke Sidewinder 6-24x56.
Worth every single penny!! Well over 25,000 down the tube and just gets better!
Second choice....Tyler hooked me up with a brand new replacement Pro Sport for the refurb I bought.
Love him!! Got it in walnut.....awesome rifle....cost about the same as the 97.
Only thing with the particular 97 I got is it is ONLY available from AOA. I had no problems with them at all.
Also really like the looks of the high end LGV........really nice stock!!

I have a powder burner 45 on consignment . While I wait for it to sell I have been wrestling with this. First thing is spring or PCP. I have decided I want to compete in field target and don't want to purchase all the set up gear for the PCP. Maybe later but for now I want the simple and consistent springer .

So it will be a springer. Now which caliber? This is a tough one. So I purchased a .177 Bowning leverage and a XS46U in .22 from Mike with a full tune. I tuned the leverage myself. After an exhaustive test I am still not sure. I am leaning toward. .177 because I want to shoot field target. Seeing first hand the differences. The recoil from the .22 is disturbing enough to make the. .177 more consistent. Not much but enough to notice.

That makes  .177 the winner. Plus it's quieter does less damage to the trap and the pellets are cheaper. I shoot five hundred rounds a week. So that's starting to matter.

Now I am getting down to it. Springer in .177. I have a perception that under lever is more accurate than break barrel. Probably not true and I don't want to start an argument. I like the break barrel weight and loading cycle. But feel the accuracy will suffer in a pure target environment.

That leaves the TX 200 the pro sport the hw97 Diana 430 or a Walther ULG but I don't think they come to the US. I have friends in the UK that could ship me one I guess.

I am leaning toward the HW97 k with a vortex tune kit. And a case.

That is half the budget. I would then spend 600 on a very good scope. The rest would be used to take my wife out to dinner so I can explane why I need a fifteen hundred dollar BB gun. ;->

Do not say that too loudly, some people do not understand a good tune can easily run $300. Come to think about it Paul Watts charges over $300. A good tune is really worth the extra dollars.

I just sold 2 guns, and waiting on a decision for a third. My wife does not know how much I have already collected. Right now I am at $1200 and the money is hidden.
