If you had a $2000 budget

I own two really nice spring piston rifles. The TX200MK3 .22 very accurate & heavy. The Beeman R11 .177 equally as accurate as the TX200MK3, lighter, and has an adjustable stock. Now for the question. If you had a $2000 budget which spring piston rifle would you get, which caliber, and most important why would you pick it. I am seriously considering getting a HW98 .22, but I am open for suggestions. Then again I am a flake and will probably just pocket the cash and hide it from the old ball and chain.

What $2000 spring rifle are you thinking about?  I don't currently know of any.  There are plenty of PCP's that are $2000+.

LOL I have $1400 in my TX200MK3 as it is. $300 for a tune and another $500 on the glass. I found it is pretty easy to blow some serious cash in this hobby.

for me, the hw97 .177 have the 77 so the 97 has to be just as good

Hi Jesse, I would get a hw80 in .20 cal they are sweet shooters and very accurate or a rws r54.22 sweet and very accurate im a proud owner of one I got from Don ...I also am eyeing a new .25 850. From Roald I own a co2 version in .177 and love it , awwile ago I was gonna purchase a pcp but funds wasnt there but as I gget back on track im really thinking of the 850 in pcp there very, very accurate , thr .177 I own is extremely accurate and wouldnt mind another so surprise us with your purchase ...1200.00 is good for a prosport airarms as well so many to choose for under the amou t u are spending plus glass ....jorge

If you really have that much $$$$ tied up in a tuned and glassed TX,,,I don't know how you are going to do better in a tuned springer...unless you're looking for a collectable.  I'm with the Lawn crowd...mow your own, let your lady see it, and ask her to grab some brewskies for later...win, win...

I'm very disappointed in the lack of enabling responses.  Jesse has called on us to help fuel his addiction, so let's just knock it off with the reasonable and responsible suggestions. 
$2k springer budget?  That's a little tight, but I'll try.

1. Post a WTB for a Paul Watts tuned, shrouded, and custom stocked R9.  Figure a $1k-1200 or so for the rifle, leaving just enough for the Leupy 6-20efr, or SWFA 3-15x42.
2. HW98 in .22, Motorhead tuned, JM or V kit, Leupold VX6  3-18x44 30mm side focus.
3. HW97, same as #2.
4. No rifle, Schmidt and Bender scope for your TX.
5.  Pro Sport, same as #2 & #3.

Well, since the topic clearly asks what "I" would do with a 2k budget, I'll respond accordingly. I would purchase the sweetest shoebox setup I could and maybe another low budget springer..... lol    Sorry, it just got a little "Dark" up in here. Can ya smell the cookies?
