The Minutemen Field Target League

Some of you here may already know of this League, others may not.  It's comprised of many different clubs along the east and north east regions of America.  On the website are links to many of the clubs involved, as well as a calender of events.  You do not have to be a member of the league to participate in the matches.  I tried linking the website but am not allowed.  If you google the name minutemen field target league and follow the link you can access the site.

Though the season is coming to a close there are still plenty of matches to attend so if you can make them Please do try.

For you the DIFTA club is likely the closest: Iwla Trap & Skeet Range House‎ 26430 Mullinix Mill Rd , Mount Airy, MD 21771
Their next FT match is on Saturday, august 23.

    My Son and I have been attending the matches, along with some of the other GTA members. We have only been to the matches at FTRPA, but plan on attending others next season. Good people and a very nice course.

That's good to hear.  This is my first year shooting FT and I have had a lot of fun.  I've shot at AOM, NSC, MRA(Mass Rifle Association, a new venue this year and will be on the Minutemen schedule next year) and have had goods times at each.  I just haven't noticed these and other venues in NY being posted here, along with the GP events(Mason-Dixon shoot out and the Cross Catskills Challenge) so i figured I'd get the word out.  I will also post the remaining events on a weekly basis as they come up for others who may miss this thread.

I live in ny and hope to make the bcsa sept 13 shoot in Windsor ny east of Binghamton really looking forward to it. ty for keeping us up to date on the shoots in the surrounding areas I hope to be more active next year.

Yes Sir that is the link.  Thanks for posting it and while I won't be making it to any NY events for the remainder of the season i plan on at least visiting for the north east regionals at crosman next year as well as the cross catskills challenge.

I can't say for sure yet.  I still have the MRA shoot this saturday, and the shoot on long island on sunday, then a possible Mass States at the MRA Nov. 1st.  If i do make it to Penn. it will depend on if another shooter here in Mass is going.  I should know after this weekend though.  John
