Couple of weeks back I went to scout a new valley, eventually I found a place I really liked and wipped up a quick blind to set up an Hambush.

Today I went back to check if there was enough activity to warrant a hunt on Wednesday, the moist grounds where easy to read and there's Hog Spoor everywhere.

On the way up to my spot sometimes you can use game trails and sometimes you need to drop into the creek bed.

Than I got to my spot and it was really beat up.

It's an intersection of 5 trails.

I decided to make a bit of a roof on my blind because I'm right under the cliff and falling rocks are common

I'll be using my Storm .357 and the 81gr EPP/UG CarlsonRatSniper made me.

Looks like a good blind! That is how I squirrel hunt I make a similar blind.

......not that easy, 90% + of the times even with a great set up and lots of signs I come home empty handed.

Outstanding land there! So nice looking almost don't matter if you get some or not, just enjoy the wonders of it all. Having said that, now go and spill that blood

Weather forecast for tomorrow is sunny with moderate trades in the 10-15 MPH range ( I prefer the slower trades rather than the hard gusty ones because before a gust the air gets sucked in the opposite direction so you have the winds consistently going in all directions )

The trades hit my blind from the 2 O'clock direction,
I'll bring some mangoes to throw at the intersection to see if I can stop or at lest slow down a passing Hog.

I'll be sitting from about noon to 7 PM if needed.

So everything is in place, now I need a good measure of Luck

I actually prefer to get a 80-100 pound-er Saw, Big Boars don't taste all that good,

Pressure will be about taking a video, so much going on and not much time so it's hard to remember to go through the process of getting the camera going

I was joking about the big hog.

I know how it is. I hunt deer. It is very cool to kill a big tough 11 point buck like I did

but the younger bucks and does taste so much better.
