Just ordered a TF-99 with nitro piston. Maybe the last one ? This will be my first gas ram rifle.

I believe you will like it. If I were you I'd asked mike to give it a trigger tune while it's there bc he did good work on mine so much better than stock trigger.

I've tuned my share of Chinese B3 rifles. This will be my first with a gas ram. I am two weeks out from a total knee replacement. Thus far it is all I can do to get to the computer. I had my knee rebuilt in 1983 from a football injury and that older work complicated this surgery but i think I am on the mend.Once I am able to get around a little better and get to my workshop I plan to use this rifle as part of my "rehab". Likely will hone the air chamber, smooth mating surfaces of the trigger and shoot it. It will be weird not globing special mystery grease on the spring and piston. Never tuned one with a gas ram, any hints?

use small amounts of lube on the seal and piston, ram kinda takes the fun out of tuning them...the usual deburr and polish...if one has the right tools and fittings adjusting the ram is easy...

Been busy with rehabbing my knee after total knee replacement. As Usual Mike came through in a big way. Mike did not get His reputation for nothing. This is the fourth air gun I have bought from Mike and I am sure it will not be the last. The TF-99 is a lot of gun and that is coming from someone who is 6'4" 235 .lbs. The gas ram is nice this one is my first such critter. The stock on the one I got in is beautiful. Much more gun than the price paid. I've shot it a little and while I do not have a chronograph I know it is powerful. I get a 50' shot to my backstop from my patio in my backyard and I shoot Air rifle silhouettes and smallbore silhouettes . You can tell how powerful a air rifle is by the way they knock over the smallbore silhouettes. The TF-99 with nitro piston in .177 slams the smallbore silhouettes so I know it is packing a punch. Thus far it loves pointed Crosman Hunter pellets, hates Crosman wadcutters. This is the first .177 rifle I have found that did not like Crosman wadcutters but then most of my rifles do not shoot very fast. I am still on a walker but hope soon to be on a cane. Thanks Mike for your great customer service and love of this sport.

Once again a testament to the beauty of the gun for the price. I'm sure you will love yours as I have enjoyed mine. Good luck on the knee my father had that done and took him awhile to get back upright. You will be in my prayers and I wish you the best.

No photos of the gun yet but it is pretty. Pictures of my first two targets. I mainly shoot standing Offhand and rarely give myself the luxury of support other than my bones. Due to my knee thing I am using a position I like to call sitting offhand. I blacked out the fiber optic sights with Brownell's Alumahyde. Fiber optics may be great for hunting but not my cup of tea for shooting targets. These targets were shot at ten meters in my garage.

It's looking like a keeper. Throw a one piece mount and a 4x16 scope on it and stretch it's feet out. Mine groups well out to 70 yds with some holdover since it's a .22... I actually headshot a crow at around 77yds when it had the coil spring in it.

Not trying to hijack this thread. Bad day pain wise . Wanted to take some pictures so I got a stinky indoor photo. It will have to serve as proof of life. Much nicer than it looks. Now to go watch some SEC football.

Good numbers, very nice. I do not have a chrony but do kinetic testing on steel silhouettes. It gives me a good idea of how powerful an air rifle is shooting as opposed to a smallbore rifle. My only concern now is to get some spare parts for the trigger specifically the mouse trap style spring and the sheet metal trigger shoe with the pinned in steel sear cam. Started a new thread on mine.
