K so thanks to all of your advice I ordered the TX200 mk3. It should be here tomorrow when I get in from work. This will be my first spring gun. Any advice to help me shooting it will be appreciated. I have been shooting a air arms s500 and love it. Last month killed 143 sparrows. What can I expect in accuracy compared to shooting the pcp.
your gona love it. Take your time and work out your hold and pellet. I installed a Vortek kit in my .177 and wow its is so smooth. I had mine out for a few shots after work tonight. It was a good night I got bored with shooting groups so I started punching out the Small target numbers on the target rings at 30 yards with ease. Every one that see it loves the deep bluing and stock they are a dream to shoot and look at. Dont freak out when the little rubber bumper falls out that keeps the lever from hitting the bottom of the shroud. Ask any TX owner and they will tell you about that "dang" thing. I replaced mine with some O rings on the leaver and never looked back. My bumper fell off the same day I got my rifle and the dog ate it. Congrats and cant wait to see the pictures.
You'll be psyched! I've had lots of fun learning to shoot springers.
I am happy with my decision to sell 22's to get the tx200. I had won a lot of matches with them, but it is hard to get ammo and it is also expensive. Moving on to the tx200. FedEx did not arrive till 7:00 pm. I was able to slap ultra dot on and get in about 10 shots. It will definitely be different from shooting the pcp. I think I am going to really like it. However I now remember why I quit shooting the pistol competitions. ..... I cant see well enough, haha. Even at 15 yds I can barely align dot with black 9 ring. I love the balance of the gun though and think it would exelent with dot sight for quick shots if a person has good eyesight. I guess I am just going to have to start saving my pennies to get a scope. Next few days are going to be pretty busy so will try to get pic and post more when I get to shoot some more. Thanks for everyones help on my decision to buy this rifle.
Enjoy the journey!!My favorite part of acquiring a new springer is learning her personality!!I have a few really sweet springers....the TX is the easiest to shoot well! Very forgiving, not pellet or hold fussy, insanely accurate.....and super sexy!!Had a couple hours free yesterday and shot this 7 shot group from 30 yards off a front bag.She does this more often than not!!You're gonna love it!!
