The truck dropped the RSII .25 off late yesterday.

Same fine looking gun as the RSII .22. Barrel was not bad dirty at all. I did for the first time pay of the 10 for $10. I really got 11 shots starting at 200 bar. Paper says they used the 19.9 FTTs. No real time average fps or any thing else. Just the string. $:-\$

I did not record the fill psi of the gun upon receiving? And did not record the psi after last nights playing.
So what is the pellet of choice for this gun? Full power and yes I may change the spring out to detune this gun so the low power pellet as well.
I did test the gun last night with the jsb kings. 2 mags run thrugh it and yes it was an air hog. Accuracy was affected by a misallignment of the ldc due to clipping which was solved by enlarging the ldc ID. So as dark fell I stopped. When I did finish I had the gun grouping very good but it still needs some scope adj and a refill of air. NO chrony recording yet. Leapers 4-16x44 swat SW. WOLF AIGUNS LDC. SO far the gun is back yard usable. Most sound is the pig and yes the impact.

Keep us posted on how it works out. I am just days from pulling the trigger on an RSII in .25 my self so i will be watching this thread.

So far I've found the Benjamin Domes to be the best, JSB and Pretators are real accurate when I put a weaker spring in.

the newly coming JSB 34gr should be perfect for this guns, really harnessing the power on tap

So what spring did you put in the .25? I the JSBS AND THE CROSMAN DOMES. The Theoben MKII eats the
Beeman Kodiak Match Extra Heavy .25 Cal, 31.02 Grains, Domed but it is tuned for them for 55 fpe. A lazer.
That is why I wanted this gun and detuned to shoot in the 4o-45 fpe with heavies

Try the Kodiaks in yours you never know,
I just get that one or 2 flyers that make me go, "DANG !!!!!"

If I want to shoot Predators I put that McMaster weak spring on (there's a thread with specs somewhere

)

How about buck shot? I have shot them in .25 springers. Found no accuracy with them. Got almost a full box of them. I have not tryed them in the pcp.
Plus what is the average shot count in the RS in .25. Seems tonight I went to refill the gun and I had shot it down to 100 psi? I did the more I think about it run more than 2 mags through it. Maybe a2 and 1/2 mags?

Roundball is no good, have a bunch here and tested it.

I shoot 2 mags and it goes from 200 BAR to 100 BAR, after that loses to much velocity, so 20 good shots really on full power.

Round ball is good for chony work and tuning IMO. just make sure you pick them out and group them in lots of same weight, they have sight variance. Cheap way to get in the ballpark. Using Chairgun, you can make a comparison of shot fps to a chosen pellet weight and it gets you fairly close on the cheap.

Looks like you could stand to use a heavie pellet. A 27-30 grain pellet would probably allow you to see a curve on that string. It does need some tuning though.

Another today in the FANGSTER?
The gun out of the box has the accuracy. Jsb kings do shoot great.
No trigger adjustment yet. I like the light trigger and as of now it is not to my liking. My trigger settings are not for all. None fact to buyers of my guns and those that come over and shoot with me. I like a crisp but out the barrel when I am on target same in hunting PB. Waste not the prime opportunity shot. Just me.
20 shots as said with the kings brings the gun down between 150 and 100 psi.
Air hog vs the marauder. But much better gun to me. Still got the marauder .25. The guy has not paid for it as of now. Matters not to me. Still a sweet shooter.
Very satisfied with the RS .25. Wolf airgun ldc has the gun tamed after relieving the baffle size. Prices are within reason.
More to come on this project. Got many, well different pellets to try. Chrony time if I can tomorrow.
Super wood on both RS' s. Much character in the grain and markings.

Thanks. Correct. That would be between 100-150 bar. My bad.
My gauge on my freedom 8 set up id psi and the guns are bars.
So that would be around 1450 -2175 psi? Still good air maybe?

Another question in the RS 2 mag set up? Am I the only one having issues with the tab on the inside shearing off. I now have had 2 shear the mag rotation stop ?

Well I worked the broken new mag. These mag can be repaired. At least it is for now.
Indeed the mag lock had broken off. Looked like a mold flaw. It was snapped out completely.
Repair was made by using a tig S/S rod. These rods have a flat spot in the making with the id of the the filler material on it. Cut the flat spot out and sized it and rounded the lead area. Heat it to red hot and placed it in the tear out of the mag peice. Let it cool and filed the melted plastic away. Back together and working like new for now. The insert is melted in almost to the back side so it is locked in solid. A metal working piece would be a better set up.

Well back again.
I have to say that this is 1 fine gun. Accuracy is there with the JSB KINGS. Took a opossum 20-30 yards last night free hand. I know that that distance is nothing for the gun.
The ldc does indeed have the gun backyard friendly. 20 shots is about it for power.
on this gun I find the trigger a little to stiff for my liking..Both other Evanixs are not like this one. I have adjusted to the best I can but today I am going to do some polishing and if that does not make it yo my liking I will change out the front trigger spring.
Chrony time today. That will tell me much more on the hammer spring decision. Lighter spring may be what I want for lower power for close range and increase shot count somewhat.
So just another great Evanix. Sure not a marauder. But I have to say I see nothing wrong with the 2014 marauder. Which I still have racked with no scope on it. The marauder is a very good gun that I got. Good shot count, accurate and for sure quite and does make good power. I was lucky and got an excellent Green Mountain barrel on it.
The RS and the Marauder are just 2 different guns.

Yes I agree totally. I find nothing wrong with the marauder. After the barrel ext, tube ext,12 lb spring and the new barrel band I have a sweet gun. But when you total up the gun $ and the extras you will have around $750 in the gun. But pcps are not cheap. The marauder with the barrel ext and the extra baffles it is super quite. I really like the barrel new band. After putting the barrel ext on it seems that the barrel is too easy to flex. I know the extra weight is minimal but I can see that any weight could make the barrel swag ever so much.
The Evanix line of guns are fine. The first pcp being a used WC spoiled me. The AZ MkII really did. Just glad the pumping days are over. Lol I would be super man if I had to pump all these gun's.
I can see 1 or more of the Evanix guns going to WP at some point?

Chrony is showing 2 shots after ladt nights possum shots. Below 200 bar?
2 shots of jsb kings.25.39 average of non full tube 996 fps. You do the math. Unbelievable as it is? Fresh batteries on both chrony and printer?
If all is correct a beast. Detune time here.
I am in shock and ah. Could be unreal and an error? 55 + fps?
