So Big Bore Bart was kind enough to help me out in pinning the valve for my .177 Discovery. My question is, all other things being stock, what is the main weak link I should worry about? Bart mentioned something about the gauge. What is the maximum pressure I should attempt to put the gun at with the stock gauge, and if I need to, can someone point me in the direction of how to change it out for a Marauder gauge? (Supposedly pinning the valve with high tensile screws allows the tube to be pressurized to 3000 PSI, but I doubt I'll need all of that to get a nice curve on my shot string.)I appreciate your help in advance. Thanks!
Did you also tap the valve to 10-32?
You will want to add a rear velocity adjuster - just order the one for a 2009 Challenger from Crosman for $30.
