IZZY owners (you know who you are) are all aware that you have a breech seal that connects the air chamber with the barrel. It is visible when the breech block pops up when you cock the pistol. Do you know there are two of these seals? There is one that mates with the breech end of the barrel and one on the bottom of the breech block that mates with the small hole on the top of the air tube. During the firing cycle the air makes a 180 degree turn from the muzzle end, backwards toward the shooter, making a 90 degree turn upward the barrel then, makes another 90 degree turn and into the barrel when you press on the trigger. Today, I was shooting the ol' girl and she started making a strange noise and I could feel air on my right hand. The speed dropped from 490fps to 325fps. I was just about to tear into it, thinking the piston seal might be the culprit when I noticed a breech seal on my bench. By the way, the flat side goes in first. The rounded edge faces the port on the air tube and the breech end of the barrel. So, keep an ear open and if you hear something strange or feel some air on your hand, suspect one or both of these seals..
Stay safe and free!

I had something similar happen a while back and posted about it here, somewhere or other. Only in this case the pistol was being run by another person while I was shooting something else. It wasn't until I got home that I found the reason for the different sound and low power. I thought it was a problem with the compression seal when we were at the range, it's still on the original and was built in '03. Weird sound - check your seals. Good tip, indeed!

I'm a peaceful man and prefer the pursuit of peaceful sports. Those involving teams and balls of any sort tend to be deleterious to one's body and promote violence by both spectators and participants. The shooting sports, however, tend to promote self control and are peaceably participated in by those who know that their greatest challenge is their need to continually hone their own abilities.

Thought I would try here rather than new thread? I have a new to me Izzy, love it so far, BUT
1.Several times in maybe 100+rds one or both of the breach seals have fallen out? I am inserting the flat side first, and they seem fine until..., Should I glue them in? New ones? Different type?
2. Probably/maybe related to #1, on three occasions when I am closing the breach block the gun releases the air, sort of like a fart. This is after a pellet in in the breach and right as I close it. it doesn't fire the pellet, but needs to be re charged.
The pistol looks in perfect shape, and was indicated as lightly used, but a few years old.
Any ideas/solutions?
Thx!!

Do not glue your breach seals in.
You might want to get some more.
Alot of places have them.
Do a search.
PA has them.
Flat side in first is correct.
I think I would adjust my trigger if I were you.
It is probably to light and is actually releasing when you close the breach...blowing out your seals.
These pistols are built like a tank....

Thx BD, I'll try this 1st thing. I had noticed it has been adjusted to feel like a 1 stage trigger , so hopefully adjustment will fix both.
