Do you shoot a favorite all the time for the same purpose (target/hunting)? Do you rotate what you shoot? I have 3 rifles Walther Lever Action, Hammerli 850, Winchester M-14. I shoot one rifle 40-80 shots a day (target) until the CO2 is empty than rotate to a different rifle. Looking forward to an underlever ( BSA Polaris or Gamo Whisper CFR) for my next rifle. How do you shoot???

I did not shoot the Sheridan today.
I shot the rest of them.
But now I will go shoot the Sheridan....

Shoot near daily .. but generally only 2-3 are in rotation as casual shooters. Rest are Hunting or Match / Competition guns that come out once a month or so.

I shoot all my pcp's, mainly target and charting the guns performance along with my performance.
sadly, my springers havn't gotten any love from me except the regular cleaning and dusting. I'll never part with them (springers) but they are neglected.

Once I got the Disco I can not put it down. I just replace spring in my Blackhawk and I need to break it in. Will be shooting it more now. The b1 is waiting for my grandaughter The Disco is just so much fun to shoot.

I bought a TX200 and had a RWS 48. After shooting the TX and hitting the mark more times than not, I find myself shooting the RWS more often to try to match the accuracy of the TX. Believe it or not, I am sometime successful but more often than not, the Tx wins hands down.

I have mine listed in the order I shoot. When you get down to the one in the shop is where I stop & the Recluse (because it is an air hog). The others every day I look at them I shoot them.

I rotate them around. Some more than others. If I see something I want, I look at what guns that I haven't used in awhile and then sell or trade them to get it.

That's how I roll too. I'd rather have 1 gun that I really like and enjoy shooting more than a collection just gathering dust.

the marauders came and all others sat in the safe for a very long time. now i have come back to the springers just because the marauders are so easy to shoot, so very accurate, the challenge is gone. if i had to keep just one gun i guess it would be the gamo CFR. something about it makes it my favorite.

I shoot the marauder almost every day. Im working on HFT skills so I will shoot 2 different distances from 10yds o 55yds each day, 40 shots at each distance. if its too hot, cold or windy outside I shoot my 2300 pistol indoors. when its just rainy I can sit inside on my indoor range and shoot 10 - 25 yds out the door. I have a Daisy 499B I shoot when the grand kids come to visit. but otherwise its neglected. Ive ordered a walther lever action 1894 for plinking. It will be interesting to see what happens to my routine when it gets into the rotation.

Gene, question on the Gamo CFR. Is the cocking effort really 40 lbs (PA review)? How would you compare the cocking effort to your other springers? Also do you think this is too powerfull for an indoor 10m range? thanks Bill.

I attempt to shoot at least 5 shots per day through each and every one of my AirGuns, with a few of them as many as 50 shots per day.

I know that to maintain good practice 200 rounds or more per gun per day is recommended, though I can not afford that many pellets.

A pumper is the next thing needed for my collection, with a Mac 1 tune would make it better.

I've only two - a loaner from my brother, Feinwerkbau junior olympic in 177 that I have shot quite a bit. But it is low on air and it takes me a bit to get it hand pumped back up. So it has been neglected for the past week. And an FX Black Widow I bought through the forum here. I like it real well but it also is low on air and the hand pump is hooked to the first one. Shot them both today but the air is low and the starlings skated.

Hey Bill.
I had a CFX for a while in 2006 and there is absolutely no way that gun had 40 lbs cocking effort.
More like 30 and can be shot all day comfortably.
I do think its a bit much for a 10 meter gun tho.
Can't remember curing numbers, but pretty sure it was over 800 FPS with CPLs. It was very accurate!
