BAM B50 Power Adj. Screw -> Mod.

Hey BAM B50/51 Tuners,

Took apart gun except for removing two Phillips head, side screws (into value) that appear to be installed by Hercules (must be loctited) .  I remembered these screws were slightly stripped when received in the box.  The air cylinder also had a few screwdriver scratches from the factory or whomever.
Went to do first mod on gun: Power Adj. Screw Mod per Technical Details (60 pg) manual. Took PA screw out of Striker/turned around and found that someone already cut a slot in the end so power could be adjusted from behind action?

Is this the way these guns arrive to your door now from FD? The large, outermost part of striker was already beautifully polished too?  I did not pay for any mods .  Was this gun previously owned?

Am I being paranoid ??  Would appreciate any clarity from Flying Dragon-> BAM B50/51 owners!

Mine had the screw cut also. I will be ordering shims so I can mess with the spring preload as well. I am planing for mine to be a .25.
