Crosman MSP's, and limits?

2011 2100 690 fps at 10 pumps with 7.9g pellets.

Ok from the reports it sounds like the 2100 definitely has much potential in its current form.   Though it does sound like people get a wide range of results ranging from aprox 620FPS to apox 690FPS.

The 2100 is definitely on my list, for the purpose of converting to a 2200.

Any how, here what I got for you.

Keeping in mind that these are absolutely stock refurbs from Crosman at $39 each. We cleaned the barrels and added a few drops of oil to the pumps.... Nothing else.. They've had  between 300 and 400 rounds thru them.
 The first string is mine...
93 degs and southern Alabama humidity. Very Close to sea level.

The second string is Betty Lou's.... I got hot and lazy.

I think the 2100 has good potential also, but the qc as of late has not been what it should be, mine was so tight at the piston(plastic) and valve that it bent the piston that is probably why it shot on the high side of the new ones.

I think just getting them to stock tuned they should be hitting 700-720 fps with 7.9g pellets.

I plan on getting a .22 barrel for my 1325XLT and I feel it should easily hit 725 fps with 14.3g pellets. (but only one way to find out)

just switching to the old metal piston got me 50 fps with the 20.1g .25 pellets...

I am trying to figure out how to turn down a 392 valve to fit a pump tube made from a disco tube and what to use for a striker the .25 really needs the volume...

with all of the info and a few weeks of research I am going to be getting at least three 2100's.

There is definitely a lot of potential in the 2100 power plant.

I will be ordering the refurbs from Crosman as money allows.

One question:
Will the 2100 pump tube work as a drop in replacement in the 66?   Unfortunately I do not remember from the 2100's that I once had.

If so I will also get three extra pump tubes, linkages, pistons, valves, hammers, and hammer springs (two to modify for my 2289g's, and one for my 66).
