rough cocking after not shooting?

I just put a new seal and lube in my 125 vortex. After the tune it was extremely smooth to cock and shoot. Then after two days and about 75 smooth shots I left for the weekend. After two days of sitting I go to cock the gun and its rough? It still shoots fine but the cocking is horrendous. What happened!? Did all the moly run off the piston or something? Do I have to teardown and relube again? This dumbfounded me, help!

I've only put about 7 shots through the gun with it doing this for fear of scoring the chamber, it really feels like metal on metal inside the gun. A total day and night difference from when i put it down two days ago when it was smooth as butter.

Something has slipped. I'd start with the cocking shoe. Did you lube it? If not it can give a grinding while cocking. If something is catching on the spring that can have the same result. The most fearful thing is if the piston is scoring the cylinder. You may need to button the piston. Most guns apply pressure to one side of the piston during the cocking cycle. This can force the piston skirt against the cylinder wall opposite the cocking lever. As the back of the piston is forced against that wall, as the lever is cocking the piston the front can be dragging on the wall closer to the cocking lever. Both are bad things.

I did lube the cocking shoe. I'll pull it out of the stock, maybe the shoe is rubbing on the side of the cocking slot? I'll lube he sides of the slot if that doesn't fix it i guess I'll tear it down.

It wasn't the cocking slot. But I was able to pack enough moly down the sides of the chamber that I was able to fix it. Now she's getting smoother and hopefully will only get smoother. Thanks Thomas!
