anyone else ever have issues with fedex? 2/3 times they have screwed me over. first was delivering my brand new PC to some women 45 miles away, and just today they delivered my scope rings to god knows where. so now i cant use my magazines on my disco

if anyone here works for fedex, sorry for the generaliztion, but fedex is terrible

Yep. My dad bought my brother(Henry) the Gamo Whisper when it forst came out, with the NP too. A $700 gun at the time. Well Fed-Ex "lost it". Yah right. Then for some strange reason, it turns up at Pyramid Air.

Never had that kind of thing happen before.
I was a bit irritated when an order I made a week before New Years sat at City of Industry, CA, from the 29th all the way to the 3rd, though.
Didn't understand why they didn't keep it moving at least one more day.

Had it happen with ups years ago and got a package for a guy a half a mile away on the same street once too.

Think if was Fed Ex that was handling my daughter's lap top repair delivery. HP said the damage was not warrantied (true, dat) and they would drop off a box next day for express shipping. Waited a couple of days and then there was the box, looking like someone sat on it. Explained to HP there was no way I would ship in it, since it had lost what structural integrity it may have had. They said we'll send another box. A week goes by (meanwhile it's "Has the box come yet???" everyday). Finally the box arrives and off the pc goes. Now the daily mantra's "Is it back yet?

" I call HP and they say it's finished and on the way. Check the tracking info, box enroute. Few more days of "Has it come yet???" Finally, the tracking info shows it was delivered but no one was home, although I was there all day. Have to schlep over to the shipping depot next day because by now it's closed. Daughter driving me up the wall. Get the lap top, come home, can't get it to work. We spend an hour or more trouble shooting with Krishna in Calcutta to no avail. (I'll give him credit, he really tried every trick in the book and documented it for us.) Call HP, again, and this time I get a real manager in the mid-west. Explain that it's now been about three plus weeks and we really need the lap top since it's used for school. He said send it back and don't worry about the repair costs, it's on us. (Now, this was about a $700 repair, so thanks HP!) Got the new box, shipped it off, HP fixes and sends back asap. Check the tracking number. Oh, look, it was delivered but apparently not to me. There's a house with almost the exact same address around the corner which gets my mail and I wouldn't put it past him to return it. Go see if it's there but nope. Called the shipper and raised holy h3ll. Nice gal shows up with truck (how come the gal drivers are always more sociable?) and she apologizes, saying it was marked, again, as tried to deliver. Once more, home all day.

I hold my breath on each package that comes my way. This past Fall I was raking leaves out of my gutter when the delivery stops and the driver leaves a white box on my porch, right in front of several white plastic sacks of donations awaiting pick up by a local charity. If I hadn't been there, someone would have gotten a VERY nice expensive Christmas present my wife had ordered. What's it take to work for one of these outfits? A lobotomy???

I won't use Fedex if I can help it. Her in central NY, I find their driver's are unpleasant, humorless, and their driving habits leave alot to be desired. Most of the packages dropped off by them (if they make it here), are damaged to some extent.

If I'm having something shipped, I request UPS. You'd be surprised how many outfits that normally use Fedex will send UPS if the customer requests it at the time of placing the order, and there's very little difference in price.

The UPS drivers around here are always pleasent and respectful. Their driving habits are also respectful of other drivers.

Just this week, our local news paper ran a front page article about one of our local, well respected UPS drivers who is retiring after 25 years. Even gave his address for those who want to send him a well-wishes card.

I doubt I'll ever see a similar article about any of the local Fedex drivers.

Interesting too as Fed-ex ground drivers are independent contractors and UPS drivers are not

The last package I got from USPS had a barrel sticking out of the box. I had a package of supplies delivered by UPS that had a whole corner ripped off and was crushed. Half the stuff I ordered was just missing. The box looked like someone had played soccer with it all the way from Maine to Texas.

they said if the package isnt here by friday to ask PA to ship another. im not going to do that unless fed ex pays them for it because they lost. they said they delivered with no-one answering the door

I rec. e-mail about my package is on truck for delivery today,just checked tracking now it says Tues. ,why not Monday.Yea Fed-ex stinks.

Yes Fedx not worthy. And so does UPS. And so does USPS. And why do they not so good??? Because in the majority cases , you have very little if any recourse when you have a problem with them. The problem is worse if you are just the average customer having merchandise delivered to your home. Retail accounts fair better.

There is no FedEx Home delivery on Mondays, Tuesday thru Saturday

We had a guy working for us, Dumber than a bag of hammers! about as dependable as a screen door on a submarine....we fired him....he now drives a fed-ex truck! if that says anything..lol!!
