? On Benjamin trail XL shroud

Can the shroud on a Benjamin trail XL 1100 or 1500 be removed in order to work on the crown?

Believe it takes a 1/4" allen wrench. Insert in the crown end and unscrew the end cap. The shroud will come off after the end cap.

If it hasn't been off before there will probably be thread locker on the threads holding the shroud cap to the barrel so expect some resistance most of the way off. On mine it felt almost like the threads were getting chewed up but it was just the gummy thread locker.

I've read that some people like to half-cock the gun for better leverage trying to get the cap off the first time but mine wasn't that difficult.

...oh, and use a hair dryer and warm it up good first. That will help soften the thread locker.
