XS28

My XS28 got here today. I got this one for a tune project. I'll break this one in with the open sites.

I thought I read where someone had Mike shorten the barrel for a customer. I'm just curious at this time. Maybe in the future I might consider cutting it down to my XS25 length barrel.

I've got a question. Has anyone done a shorter barrel? If so how does it handle?
If the barrel is shortened the front sight mounting grooves are lost. Is there any sight that could be mounted to the front?

There is a plastic fiber optic sight that will work.  Same sight on the ruger air magnum and air hawk, as well as xs25.  I have thought of having mine chopped down as well.

before chopping put a piece of tape around the barrel where it will be cut, then cock the rifle some with your hand below the tape...you may change your mind after a few shots as they can get really hard to cock..better to know before than after...

I would miss that dovetail on the muzzle, too.  I love the tapered front sight post on these guns!
