Since originating this post, I've purchased an X5 and here are my thoughts on this rifle.Nice stock, not fancy but pretty well finished and good fit all around.Sights; front are somewhat big and aren't of target quality, rear is pretty good and easy to adjust.Trigger, isn't adjustable but pull measures 3.75 lbs and is smooth with a crisp let off, not bad at all.Velocity; 607 fps with 7.9gr CPHP, 652 fps with 7gr Hobby and 603 fps with 7.33gr Diablo RN.Accuracy; Not bad at all at short range (inside 10 yds). You must pay attention to your hold and follow through.Cocking effort was very mild, 18 lbs. Similar to an HW30.Noise; seems to be about the same as an HW30 or maybe slightly louder.Due to it's length of pull (14.5") and long distance from pistol grip to trigger, I wouldn't consider this as a youth rifle but it sure is a nice low powered back yard target/pest rifle. I may end up putting a scope on it but right now it's just a lot of fun to shoot with iron sights. Very well worth the $90 it cost.
My initial groups with the X5 weren't all that good either. Then I started paying more attention to my hold, trigger squeeze and follow through and the groups tightened up considerably. By the end of 300 shots it was shooting the CPHP very well. A very enjoyable little rifle.
