This is for all you R7 fans out there.

Here's an original Beeman R7, made in West Germany. This one in particular is a 1980 vintage, aged just right for the air rifle aficionado. It lacks a safety, back then we didn't need no stinkin' safety, LOL! This makes for some fast shooting and reloading, it removes one step from the equation resulting in faster fun if you follow proper gun safety. This can be particularly dangerous, especially for those who have the nasty habit of loading a break-barrel without properly holding the barrel open. The stocks featured hand cut checkering back then, they certainly don't make them like they used to! This one is from the San Rafael era of the Beeman days.
So here's the ultimate plinking machine!

I have it's twin I bought brand new around the same year. The first brand new air rifle I bought for myself. I think it was around $125 from True Value Hardware down in Oakley. Still bone stock and original. It's due for new seals and a tune kit.

You should post some pics of yours right here in this thread since it is about the Old School R7.

Are you going to rebuild it yourself?

What really impresses me, is the workmanship and the Leupold scope. The best scope you can buy!

Hey 'duck, it's very true

These are amongst the smallest/lightest 9x scope in the world and it's a pests nightmare on one of these rifles. The scope weighs a mere 10.6 oz and the whole package balances just right.

That's a very nice example of an old school R7 for sure! I have an R7 that's about 10 years old and it has the safety on it. Its not as quite as fast of a plinker as yours, but has the same long barrel and is from the era when R7s still came with open sights.

With summer coming up, I forsee a lot of R7 owners getting theirs out for a little bit of pest control.

Here's a pic of a blue bottle fly I did a head shot on at 22 yards just this afternoon after he made the mistake of looking just like a second bullseye! I thought I'd mention how accurate these little rifles can be since Niko forgot to!

Well the R7 won't be having any play days too soon, the seal is VERY dead, show and tell can be arranged. But it's German and Russian cousins from FWB, Diana and Baikal would like to play...

Yes, I do plan on working on it myself but I need to make a spring compressor. Just another thing to add to all my projects...
